I just got the P-47D-22-RE in the boxes and I’m so happy for it, but I think that it would fit better as a BR IV attacker, mostly because the lack of HVARs really hurts its performance compared to the -28, and would also make it fit nicely into my BR IV lineup hahahaa.

lol BR3. do people even fly when they make such statements. p47 with 6 M8 rockets and 500lb bomb seems underwhelming when comparing it to version with 10 HVAR rockets, but it is still extremely powerful, specially when you include base plane stats.
it is BR5 plane and maybe there is some argument to put it on BR4, although i think it should still stay on BR5.

I was more talking about The P38E. It’s kind of forgotten about for a good reason. It’s at BR 3 with no rockets or bombs. Would be perfect to add bombs to.
I think that the E can not carry bombs, only the J, in my ideal world we would have them like:
P-38E no payload at BR II
P-38G 8 x M8 rockets at BR III
P-38J 2 x 500lb bombs at BR III
Have you read anything in this post? The P47 we are talking about has M8 rockets not HVARS.
Sounds like a good idea but i would add 250lbs bombs instead of 500. That way it wouldn’t overshadow the P51 because of the 20mm cannon.
