Please close or change the muzzle smoke

I know that the production team may have added this feature to make the game more realistic, and I don’t object to it. But the current muzzle smoke is clearly too high, especially in areas with sunlight. Just like this

In cloudy places, it’s like this

I hope the production team can improve the smoke to at least the appearance of the second image, which I personally believe will improve the gaming experience for players.

You obviously don’t shoot firearms. When the gun is cleaned and lubricated, the smoke from the barrel during firing is even greater. They might add that after a few shots the gun stops smoking. And the longer the battle lasts, the chance of a jam should also increase.

Pick one:

  • Miss your target because you can’t see shit

  • Miss your target because your gun misfires

:ok_hand: :joy:

  • Miss your target because your bullets leave the barrel at 15°

If they’re going to annoy us with smoke and weapon jam fine but get rid of the dispersion because no one wants it and Some form of trigger discipline wouldn’t be a bad thing for this game

I haven’t touched a gun, I don’t know its performance in real life. But all I know is that I am a player and I am playing an FPS game. The muzzle smoke set by the production team makes it difficult for me to play normally, and the players around me also have same opinions on this. The production team should not abandon gameplay in order to pursue authenticity too much.

You forgot about dispersion

Hi! Muzzle smoke should be fixed in one of the upcoming updates: Gaijin.net // Issues

Yes, I forgot

Really? That would be great.

Listen to this man, he knows what hes talking about.
Having gone thru my mandatory conscript service we were exactly trained to oil the barrel between each shot.

Not on any weapon I fired in the service!!

The barrel was supposed to be only lightly oiled between uses, and then cleaned dry before use!

If there’s any smoke coming from lubrication of the breech area other than at ejection then your gun shouldn’t be used!!

And it takes a shedload of shooting to foul a decent modern weapon - my worst instance was using an old M16A1 - we had a bit of a free-for-all at the range with 5000 rounds between 15 of us - by the end of the day there were no misfires, but when I disassembled my weapon for cleaning afterwards there was a round stuck on the end of the bolt!

The weapon had been cleared by the rangemaster on the firing point with the usual procedure - rack the bolt several times, aim and “fire”, then pull the bolt back for visual inspection by the rangemaster prior to leaving the point.

It looked like pulling the bolt back had taken the stuck round back far enough to be not seen when looking into the breech through the ejection port.

How the heck is it even possible for an M16 to keep working with a whole round stuck amidst its moving parts, let alone so smoothly that none the wiser.

It wasn’t - it was just serendipitously the last non-shot of the day!
