To Darkflow balancing team. Please buff the Browning Automatic Rifle of all variants. This gun is in serious need of tweaking as it is extremely weak right now.
I play on the Pacific campaign mostly as Japan, and as it is, I have a very easy time stomping anyone using the BAR! It only kills in one - two shots, and has an almost non-existent recoil. As described, the BAR is a much inferior gun than the even the Type 11 of the Japanese!
Seriously, Darkflow, please increase the damage of the BAR so that it kills without having to hit the enemy and remove it’s recoil completely, make it function like a laser gun of sort. Oh, also, increase the magazine capacity to like 50. As of now, the 20 rounds in a BAR can only wipe out around one to two squads of Japanese players. It should be able to wipe out at least four!
Also, I think the Japanese need more nerfs going their way, but I’ll write another article at a later date to show why the Japanese faction is OVERPOWERED.
can you show me your soldiers loadout and gun in question ( generally, the soldiers using the gun. not the whole squad so to speak )?

well, i’ll say this, as i own the first bar ( can’t really talk for the second, but i heard good things ) it’s truly a good weapon.

sure, the recoil might be a bit strong, but i usually manage to 1 tap or 2 body shot japanese soldiers.
reason being, it’s fully upgraded. if it’s not, then yeah, you will struggle a bit. but again, the weapon it self it’s very good and usually must be used in burst or single fire. that’s peak of the weapon. comes close to the fg ( although… not quite )
made special by it’s ok sight, optimal reload speed ( even better with the reload perk )… so… no, the bar it’s in a good spot.
What do you mean? The BAR needs a buff! If it doesn’t delete an entire army in one magazine, then I don’t know what the devs are doing!
Arisaka Type 38 Grenade launcher + Phosphor/Frag Grenades x2 for almost everyone. 2 Flametrooper squad with the second Flamer. 3 AP mines in each squad for when I chance upon a Rally Point. Can’t forget though, my most prized equipment; Third-world shithole 300-400+ ping.
Way too late you mean! This gun is SOOOO SOOOO BAAAAD that it should be unlocked at level one to give the US a fighting chance!

the bar it’s quite effective and i think it’s in a good spot.
if you use it in a single fire, and actually hit your shots, it can be devastating. very good at mowing down groups that are somewhat together. or picking out targets at medium to long range.
maybe i’m a bit biased as it’s the first time thanks to the pacific that i managed to get my small hands on a bar, but it feels good.
only after i fully upgraded it though. because i had a similar opinion to yours. but you can’t really judge a weapon if you don’t fully upgrade it.
Guy is right, there is urgent need for BAR buff.
It was allready suggested to replace springfield with it, as you remember the engineer bug with MG.
Darkflow allready stated that they have seen how inferior BAR is to Japanese Type 11 and they wanted to test the possibility to equipt everyone with it (even pilots and tankers).
BAR will be thus replaced with 0.50 Cal M2 as MG and will become standard issue rifle.

you know that irl they didn’t used it as a full auto… and wasn’t a laser gun. right?
again, accuracy is on point as long you use it in single fire. not to a point of being a laser weapon, but it can pretty much kill whatever you are looking at in the sight ( as long you hit him good ) and again, you only need relatively 2 to 1 bullets for a singular dude.

eh… the guy was ( technically still is ) an american main.
like, he wanted to make normandy USA more powerful and unbalanced by giving stuff left and right for the americans. often being angry with the community or who disagrees with him ( especially anything or anyone that has to do with the fg42. he greately despised that. therefore asking for johnsons everywhere for everyone, T26s piershins because of panthers, etc. a glorified whiner so to speak. )
up until he got banned. because well… wasn’t really one for “constructive” discussions.
Everytime I try to use it the Japanese AI busts a nut through 3 bushes 2 trees and a box filled with Tojos personal Hentai stash, killing me instantly. Instead issue all American AI soldiers with an M16A2 Rifle with M203 Grenade Launcher to stand a fighting chance.
