Please adjust the M1 and M1A1 Carbines

If you want to see something messed up, look at the T20E1. Remember, this is a M1 Garand with an extended mag and a bipod. All Darkflow had to do was copy and paste the M1 Garand, but instead, they intentionally made the sights take up almost all of the screen.

There is no reason why the developers should’ve released this gun with the sights the way they are; I am starting to believe this is intentional due to them not coming out and denying this.

The helpers and devs have not commented on this and have refused to acknowledge the issues and at least let us know they are aware of this and are working on fixing it. I would not mind if it came after the merge, but even then, they have yet to tell us publically. It appears they are more worried about graphics and how pretty the ground looks than fixing the foundations of the game.

Call me weird but I prefer the close up since I can see the target better.

The circle in real life makes it closer. The issue is not the zoom but the sight picture and how unreasonably large they made the nobs.

Real Life Garand Sight:

As you can see, the iron sight is lined up, creating the correct sight picture. The adjustment knobs aren’t taking up the entire screen as well.

Call of Duty’s Version:

While their version features a larger opening for the ring, it still somewhat creates the effect of a correct sight picture. The adjustment knobs do not take up the entire screen.

COD 2:

It’s the same, but the sight picture was better. Knobs don’t take up a ton of the screen.

Days of Infamy:

Absolute perfection when it comes to M1 Garands in games; you can’t get closer than this.

Dark Flow’s Version:

It doesn’t create a correct sight picture; knobs take up the entire screen. Even when zooming in, it does not make the correct sight picture.

If you aim it like this, the gun’s stock goes through your neck, but overall, developers are getting mogged by ten-year-old dead games. Why are they allowing themselves to get mogged? I couldn’t tell you. But this does not help their resume if they want to go and work for other companies.

I never even considered that an FPS game could have bad sights, then I started playing Enlisted.
I wish I was kidding.
I was still early in the game and was used to K98K and other German luxury which have good sights, but when I first tried shooting with Carcano, I thought I was doing something wrong cause I wasn’t hitting anything.
Took me a while to realise that most sights are just plain bad in this game and Italian sights aren’t even the worst, they fall somewhere between good and mediocre.

Maybe if the player could sight in his own gun, there wouldn’t be a problem with it. Who knows what Darkflow has the guns sighted into…

Increase recoil drastically for all weapons across the board.

Also remove jumping and only use “mantle” key.

The poor M1 Garand and its sights seem to get butchered constantly. They always make the rear ring sight waaaaay too big. Seriously, seeing it in COD WW2 made me cry a little.

in-game balance? maybe. Historical accuracy? false claim.

Both M1 and M1A1 carbines SHOULD&EXPECTED to replace M1911 automatic pistols. So it LEAST have as rapid firing capability as M1911A1s present in the game. Moreover, 1st sources points there’s no difference between M1 carbine and M2 carbine’s semi-auto rapid firing capability. So M1/M1A1’s rapid firing RPM = M2 carbine’s semi-auto rapid firing RPM.
