PLEASE add this version of the Thompson in the tech tree

The M1921AC Thompson is hands down the best version of the Thompson in-game. Currently, only the M1921A Thompson has got the 50 round drum magazine. On top of that the 100 round version of the same weapon (which has arguably much better stats) remains locked behind a paywall. Given this context it would make absolute sense to add the M1921AC Thompson with the 50 round mag as a foldered option within the M1921A Thompson with the 50 round mag. Currently, the highest tier SMG for the Western Allies struggles to compete with the M2 carbine. This would be a befitting addition to BR V US.

The Thompson submachine gun was developed by Brig. Gen. John T. Thompson for use in the trenches during World War I, but the first models were not ready by war’s end. It fired .45 ACP cartridges at about 850 rounds per minute. The model 1921AC, which came out in 1926, featured a Cutts Compensator, a muzzle brake, which helped prevent the muzzle from rising during automatic fire.

as long as i don’t have to face any more than three of them in a squad, imagine four to five assaulters/tankers with 50 round drum mags of 45ACP. or worse three to four squads each with four assaulters having said weapons too easy to abuse and one/two tanker squads that is seventeen to twenty-six men rotating continuously. as opposed to a single paratrooper squad that can be selected out every three squads.

Hum, not sure if you are aware but… there is already a 50 round drum Thompson in the game currently available for the US tech tree. The M1928A1 at BR V (which also exists at BR III with a 30 rounds stick mag) and it is not very good, being plagued with the bad sight and odd recoil. There is no real point into using the US assaulters in BR V because you can just take the M2 in other squad. Also I am not even sure if I would take the drum mag instead of the M1921 (which is at BR IV) because it has less dispersion and the good sight.

A boost to the subpar US smg would be appreciated, especially when you consider that the Tokyo Arsenal smg is at BR IV with the same drum and almost double the fire rate (and of course without awkward sights). Sure the US don’t really need any tools as of now but adding a good thompson might make people using something that is not an M2 Carbine/T20 rifle in any single soldier.

Lol, what? The US has the smallest set of weapons per br 5 among full nations (USSR, Germany USA). The US needs a new rifle, new assault weapons, anti-tank infantry weapons to destroy br 4-5 tanks head-on at range like the USSR and Germany can do.

Since we’re talking about Thompsons, I just want to take the opportunity to say that all 45 acp weapons need a muzzle velocity buff, 265/s is a joke

I know that, (I am a US main after all) but currently there is litteraly no one playing germany, and US BR V is just easy win all the time, adding more weapons will just make this even worse. I want them, don’t get me wrong, but I think that there are more important stuff to solve in the game currently.

Personally speaking I am rooting for the addition of the M1944 Hyde Carbine as well as either the Recoil-less Rifle or the Super Bazooka.

irl it was like 285 m/s. .45 ACP is just a slow round.

290 m/s from a thompson. But since everything in this game is buffed beyond the real life counterpart it could be 300 m/s or even 320.

When did they add it? Did I miss out? Or are you talking about the hidden weapons?

Don’t forget to give the Soviets a 100 Round Drum M1921A! 1300 RPM Hellfire!

Yes but they also should just give the Colt Monitor to everyone as a Rifleman counter to the FG-42 II and make the M2 Carbine an assault rifle, it fire’s an intermediate round, it is indeed an assault rifle.

Everything? Isn’t like every 7.62x25 gun a good bit slower in game than IRL? I can check later, but I think it isn’t that everything is buffed in game but DF does whatever it wants(9mm guns cough.)

I think I may have made a mistake in the nomenclature. As you can clearly see it is written as the M1921AC Thompson with the 50 round drum mag in the very video itself. And I went by that only. Yes. It is a video showcasing all the hidden weapons for the Western Allies by Rumata on YT. I would personally like to see something akin to the M1944 Hyde Carbine as the ultimate assaulter weapon for the US. I think it is highly unlikely that they would make the M2 carbine an assaulter weapon at this stage.
