I now rotate two para squads in Normandy, I will do same on axis too, I think they really can turn the tide, but if people know how to counter then they are wiped in seconds…
Now, you have given us para berets, I even put helmets on my premium 506th, but it would be amazing if you could give us red beret Paras, I’m not a pure history buff, but think they are called red devils.
Now I know we have Berlin river crossing, which some people hate, but either bridge too far map or the famous first bridge that was paradropped forgot name, I think would be amazing.
In the 82nd there are Red Devils, Black Devils and White Devils depending on your PIR. It comes from a nickname that was picked up from the Germans “Devils in baggy pants” when they were describing American paratroopers.
The black devils is also a nickname for the FSSB (devils brigade) which was the special forces at the time.
Ironically the 11th Airborne are known as the angels.
I still use them as ground troops since they have good weapons, especially the Vickers. Glad they fixed the sights too. Recoil is insane and it really only works in short bursts or mounted, but it’s still pretty good.
