Please add an 1 minute grace period before applying any penalties for leaving the game early

I have issues with ping. I play on the North America server. In about 1/4th of the matches I join, I get >250 ping (probably due to that match being hosted in Western North America, which geographically is much farther away from me). That much ping gives me a huge disadvantage in-game. I always have the ping display on, so when I join a match and see I have that much ping, I leave within seconds (to avoid harming the match-making and other people).

It is extremely frustrating to get punished for doing this. In events, in the new ranking system, etc. Please add a small grace period to allow players to leave matches before applying to them the penalties for leaving early. Or at least add some sort of system in the matchmaking to prevent people to queue on a match where they have 200+ ping.

This wouldn’t harm ANYBODY.

The penalty for leaving is only a % of xp loss on the xp you earned in match…

… You already don’t lose anything if you leave early…

You lose player rating for the ranking system and events, even if you leave just seconds after joining, like I do when I see I have too much ping. This isn’t ideal, and is frustrating.
