I think a Battle of Kursk map could be fun. It was one of the largest battles in WW2. Also the Cromwell would fit beautifully in the allied tech tree. just after the Crusader and before the Sherman. Thanks!

Well, that might be an appreciated departure from both Berlin and Stalingrad that are almost exclusively urban environment.

There are many battles that happened around 1943 as preparation or in the aftermath of the battle of Kursk.
Kharkov '43
Belgorod
Kiev '43
These areas offer a fair share of both urban and flat terrain. While Kursk area is mostly flat areas perfect for greyzone camping.

I suppose that the flat lands of Kursk can be half solved by adding columns of trenches, deep enough to be covered from tanks along with the occasional bunker and some houses.
Additionally, tanks in this type of map would be much more exposed to aircraft, so both infantry and vehicles will be easy targets. Personally, I would like to see Kursk enlisted, although to be honest, if DF were to add another map of the Eastern Front, they would go for slightly more urban environments.
The combat area was huge and the battle lasted longer than people know.
Some area that isn’t too open can surely be found.
