I know this has been suggested back in sept. I think it needs to have attention called to this subject again. I played with a friend for the first time and it is fun, however you don’t have the slightest idea of where your friend(s) are located since they are all the same color on the map. If there is a location method, I havn’t discovered it. If there is one, please post it. Otherwise, You spend time trying to tell each other where you are so you can join up. It gets progressively worse as the battle rages and you and your friend have to respawn at different times because of casulties.
Playing with a friend is not only more fun, but can change the tactics of the game, widening the experience. For example, Combined Arms…a tank advancing with a squad of infantry protecting the tank from enemy infantry, to take a cap point. The vehicle can’t take it but the squad can.
Two players with multiple engineers can bulid a very strong fortification with machinegun nests, flack guns and anti tank cannon. It would also be possible to set up protected mortar batteries for offensive/defensive purposes.
When playing with friends, one player invites and is therefore the commander, Once he makes the invite, he should get a color, and each friend invited should bet a different color. Thus, every friend is aware of where the commander is and where the rest of the friends are located. Other games such as Post Scriptum allows you to identify different squads, so should Enlisted.
So, my suggestion: Create and ID method for marking friends on the map.
Thank you

Your squadmates are highlighted on the minimap pretty sure. Haven’t played with a squad for a while now.
I hope to be able to test for myself soon. I’ve been shilling hard on a discord that plays a lot of Arma and War Thunder, but the general consensus is they’re waiting for open beta.
The members of your Squadron (or whatever it’s called) are now highlighted on the map (as of a month ago) with the numbers indicating who they are, you can see which number is which in the statistics menu (and outside of battle?), unfortunately no indicator in game (over heads) atm though. You should see the number 1 on the map and next to your name in the statistics menu when playing alone as well.
Thanks for the info. This was the first time playing with a friend and his first time in Enlisted. There was a lot of “How do I??” so I was busy trying to answer and help so I really couldn’t study the map. We only had time for two matches before I had to leave so I missed seeing the marker on the map. Next time we get together, I will look for the marker. It might need to be a little more obvious, since I did look at the map trying to see if I could locate him.
Again, thanks for the info
Of course! I do suggest the devs place a number over the players in game (maybe even just the player only), so you can identify by looking at the soldier themselves.
I think that it would be great if you could identify your friends by looking at the soldiers instead of the map.
Just a different color for those markers above the soldiers heads would be a great addition. It would add to the game
