More like a proof that hit detection is fucked as you hit the target but get no hitmarks. Same with the lead indicator.
Thunderbolt is the best plane in the game bro.
8x12.7mm can kill the pilot, set on fire, kill the engine, damage enough your plane that you decide to suicide.
20mm are still not very good in comparaison.
Except on bomber that got auto aim.
That make me think it’s more a problem with a desynchronization server.
You think you hit, but at 700kph and with a few server delay, the plane is already far away and you miss.
Hit marker that are not a hit can be a problem.
You bomber gunner is not affected by the desynchronizastion. That’s why it’s amazingly good.
One time I hit 3-4 time a P38 with a 37mm Bf110 canon. It made little puff of smoke, and hit markers. And that’s all.
Normaly it would have riped the all plane on the first hit. But not here.
With 8x12.7mm, you miss half of the bullet, the other half hit anyway, desynchronization or not. There is just too much shit going to the ennemy.
Or in other words, learn to compensate for the desync. Obviously they need to fix the problem but at this point anyone with more than 2 brain cells should have figured out how to aim.
It’s the problem of the game, not problem of players.
A player who is new to air combat is shooting at the lead marker (because that’s what the game tolled him to do) and is “hitting” his target (because that’s what the UI tells him). It’s obvious that he will blame the game for his failure (even though he doesn’t understand the reason).
And it’s not that easy to realise what’s the problem in the middle of the fight.
hmm
skill issue
bad servers - > skill issue
I play from northeast Brazil, ona good day on a east coast server my ping will be between 100-120, this means that I not only have to compensate because the enemy plane on the future will be ahead but my plane will be actually ahead when the server finally compute my shots.
On a bad day I will get a west coast server, 150-200 ping, at this point you will be missing point blank shots at infantryman, playing planes is just absurd, enemy tanks will absorb shells if you try to shoot moving targets and I am lucky, people from southeast Brazil and South will have 200-260 at best, it gets really fucking difficult to dogfight properly.
We already have a huge disadvantage on ground, on CQC battles against enemies of same skill we are bound to lose because the enemy will always shot first, even if you pressed the button and the gun fired creating sound and even counting down you ammo you just die, that’s why we like to use high RPM guns like the PPSh for example that compensate this disadvantage to some degree, but there’s no such a thing on air, we have to be clairvoyant to be able to dogfight like that.
But if it fills your ego turning a server issue on a skill issue them it’s okay, see you on the battlefield any day.

Sad noises at my 100-300 ping since there’s no Asian server:
Also 8cola 8beer?
It’s not the first time I heard about this issue. What asian country are you coming from?

Indonesia
Just compensate for the fact that your actually playing the game on a secondary reality where things aren’t where there supposed to be, and calculate where your supposed to shoot in the second reality to hit where you need to on the first reality, all in real time while both reality’s are being modified and changed by thousands of calculations and errors made by latency and desync. It’s not that hard and is a giant skill issue /s
sweet, you have to spend more time and Battles to provoke some Forum guys
