Player should get the kills for baiting enemy into carrier fire

Or at least should get a assist.

you do if you have tagged them. If you havent I dont see why you should get the kill. The AI gunners should :stuck_out_tongue:

Flying someone into the ground though…maybe?

If you’re flying a bulky A-20, all you can do is draw the enemy into the carrier AA fire
I think people should be rewarded for doing this

But it’s not you who kills the enemy
Maybe you should try practicing using the rear gunner while flying
Or parachute in advance to stop the enemy or score points

Is not like you are baiting them, a decent player knows the limits, if they follow you it’s because they are kind of newbies.

You are doing nothing to be honest, you just try to run away, you shouldn’t get the killed if you didn’t even touch the other plane, in my opinion.

…

you can… tag planes???

Funnily enough yes. Had it happen once or twice where a spotting marker sticks to the plane

but what I meant was hit them once…even if just a scratch

Use the gunner and hit them = kill when AA blows them out of the sky

My basic opinion is different from yours. I think the opposing pilot should be rewarded for any loss of aircraft, whether it is a crash, suicide attack, “kill your self” during a dogfight, or being killed by aircraft carrier.

The “prevent the enemy from scoring even if I die” approach should not exist at all

This “limit” also makes almost no difference, because the aircraft can be spawn immediately after being damaged.
Means you can follow the enemy as they approach the carrier without fear.

crashing I can understand, for the following reasons

  • because you can earn it by Maneuvering someone into the ground.
  • as punishment for someone crashing on purpose to avoid being shotdown

AA from Carriers though isn’t the same boat IMO

  • They are already getting punished with instant death for venturing too far
  • The pilot that ran to the AA and didnt hit them and did nothing to deserve a kill

Thats the way I see it.
