Agree. After all it’s only open beta, so there are probably many other things being worked on for full release. I even found that the Thompson is actually in the game, but is only available in the training/practice range. With no official response, I guess we’ll just have to wait and see
Good idea, but only if they appear as historically correct units (so not only black soldiers for US, but maybe also some Soviet soldiers from asian soviet republics and obviously legendary Night Witches - the 46th “Taman” Guards Night Bomber Aviation Regiment). Definitely not how they did it e.g. in Heroes and Generals where you can pick “appearance” when buying soldier: two versions of white and one asian for Soviets and two versions of white and one black for US and, for some reason, Germans.
I didn’t even know that’s how it worked in H&Gs, nevertheless I agree it should be kept to accurate units within said campaign. As we’ve been brainstorming up above theres at least 4 African American battalions that can be used alongside a Japanese one for the U.S.
They have tons of options for Germany, as they often used battalions of their territories, most notably Hungarian and Romanians.
As you said, Russia has quite a few Asian options, including Siberian, Mongolian, and Far East battalions, although admittedly I don’t know much about any of their units.
