Personally I’m disappointed and unhappy that basic functionality is behind paywall, that comes from the player that already spent a lot of money on the game.
What is the reception of this move on RU forum?

Seems pretty predatory considering how people pick them early without really knowing much about the classes yet. Gold is a bad move

Yeah and your also a CBT so any mistakes you might have made you’ve already made and so you wont need to respec …
You need to consider the community not just yourself

Except that, the game grows and changes on regular basis, what is good today may not be tomorrow and they expect players to pay each time?
I’m starting to feel that investing my time and money on this game is not a great idea. I probably should develop more casual approach and look for my “main” shooter somewhere else.

They didn’t have this system in CBT so there was no need for respec’ing
As a CBT he still has the advantage of knowing the system now but a new player can make a mistake and has to pay gold to correct that mistake … It’s really a terrible idea …

I wasn’t denying that. I was saying there was no way for us to know what the system was gonna be and how to spec our squads now that they’ve all been changed drastically

Everything else in the game costs - and making a mistake ain’t gonna be an exception!
Not sure if sarcasm or not but this is exactly a problem. In this case even more as all Gaijin needs to do is to regularly rebalance usability of certain classes that will be desirable as part of the squad and expect players to pay to respec the squads.
e.g. right now bombers are not very effective so I would choose other classes as part of the squad while picking skills.
“Tomorrow” Gaijin will buff bombers or add rocket launchers and players will need to pay to respec the squad.
Patch later they will nerf bombers again and buff other class… …? …profit
This is basic functionality and should not come with another cost without possibility to e.g. use extra skill points that are useless after maxing out the squad.
I’m already paying for premium account, BP, squads (all 8), squad slots and I was OK with that because I support game development but when I see devs going “dirty” I feel like I’m making mistake by investing in this title, and this is not how I want to feel after spending lots of money.
Such actions are below market standards of successful F2P PC games on the market and inline with mobile games, which is… disappointing.

no not sarcasm, just resigned reality.
The game is totally “micro-transaction” and sadly P2W - so why expect anything added to be free - seriously - that’s a lost cause.

I’m afraid you may be right. I had big hopes for Enlisted to become my “go to” WW2 shooter but its too expensive and frustrating to enjoy.

You are right that I put too much undeserved trust into the devs. There were several red flags during the CBT.
With the U turn on tasks and nerfing of premium squads I thought the worst was behind.

Well it seems as if our message was received loud and clear. Or maybe it was their intent all along and they just miss-communicated.
In any event as of yesterdays patch you can now respec upgrades without gold but you will have to have a respec order. And of course where do you get a respec order??? Wait for it …
That’s right the Battle Pass. So hopefully in the future they will be free but I didn’t see any on the current BP …
So now we know more and its not good news.
There is only one free chance to receive random order throughout whole season (75 days) - which is effectively nothing.
I have premium account and am already on level 37. That will give me 7 chances to get the order. I suspect I may end up with 2-3 orders (being optimistic) for next 60 days (and some depends when next green card will be available in BP2 and if I will be lucky to get the card).
The whole BP has 18 random order so probably you we will get 4-6 (being optimistic) orders per 75 days.
The single change of nod costs 190 EG!
