Planetside 2-esque Game Mode

I was thinking of them putting it together after OBT and what not starts as an additional gamemode since they’d (hopefully) have more spare time at that point.

Maybe just big maps would be enough. Really big maps require good organization from players, spoiler: organised players are in very small minority. Without organization game would turn into noob meat grinder which is what we want to avoid.

sorry, for how much i love planetside 2.

it can’t work in a game like enlisted.
i love the idea, but

while the people might argue about the meatgrind being funny or less, the whole progression and earning system will have to be revamped. something that quite frenkly, i’m not sure devs can manage to do that.

like, the entire game should be " adapted " and requires alot of work, and mostly, money. something that devs do not have considering the free to play approach that they are taking. not to mention, the low sells for cbts. i mean, they selled a good number of cbts, but not enough to sustain this idea.

Oh I think they definitely can make great changes like that in an ALPHA game.

It’s not like they have to tear down everything they already have. It could just be a separate gamemode like RB EC.

exept, we are in closed beta. not in alpha anymore. you might have lost 3/4 years.
and looking how things are going, they cannot, and are not willing to change.

neither this. darkflow and gaijin misses the whole tech speaking of active servers in order to being able to support all the " stress " that planetside has ( to begin with ).

like, planetside servers, as you can realize by your self, and definitly not like enlisted ones. from a perspective, the planetside ones are much more expencive. due to the ammount of stuff that they have to work with.

enlisted can’t, and will never archieve the same for obvius reasons.

so as i said, they lack knowledge, tech, and above all, money.

so it would require to find newer people to involve in their project with a different mind set, and hardware.
because the current team has been hired un order to dress up the current project. not another one.

No, they don’t have to tear down everything. They’d “only” need to pretty much make a new game from scratch. A much bigger, more complex and expensive one than the original. So, best case scenario is that they’ll need 3-5 more years and probably a new developer (and money, a lot more money).

Also what you’ve described in not even close to War Thunder’s “enduring confrontation”. The number of players simultaneously present on the map, it changes everything. The H&G way of doing it is pointless too, it only works well on paper and turns into cancer in practice. The other alternative is War Thunder’s “world war” mode that still doesn’t work after many years, not for regular clanless players at least.

I’m suggesting an enduring confrontation format in the more recent posts, no longer shilling Planetside 2 style gameplay since that would take a lot of time to develop and a lot of changes like you said whereas EC is just scaling what we currently have up a bit.

why dont you guys talk about for honor world map or the conquerors blade one?

because those titles are somewhat, less known and not really fitting the world. as i tested my self conqueror’s blade, it’s in my opinion somewhat of a good free to play. but different in genre. more or like war bound. so…

for how much i would like that system, it’s a bit harder to explain to newer people. so that’s why we mentioned planetside. a bit known and a great working example. especially, it’s more fps rather than tps/strategy like conqueror’s blade.

This would be the best shooter on the market if they did that, hands down

Still looking for WW2ol 2.0 … or at least WT with historical equipment sets locked for ww2 and a campaign map and strategy game similar to Heroes and Generals (on Beta).

It’s really not that hard… Gaijin has all the tech already xD
