Planes need bombsights

I feel like it’s because we actually have a physical pilot in the cockpit, making it look very cramped compared to WT, for example, and we can’t “move around” the camera to have a better look, as it’s pinned to the pilot’s neck.

You can hold “c” and look around.

Btw how do you deal with plane spinning when close to 90° bombing? I always struggle with this and I can’t aim my bombs correctly.

Ahhh this depends on the plane with some planes is very hard but you can use the ‘‘Q’’ and ‘‘E’’ to help you and the lag also if its laggy and you are using FW game over xD with the rockets also with FW is good idea to reduce the speed a bit cuz you dont you will probably crash. I see a lot of FW players that simply never slow down and im sure after few seconds he will crash

Bombs already cannot penetrate roofs and in some places even where the roof is half gone, so, any troop with a piece of wood or sheet metal over his head is safe…Unless he is in a tank of course. I can kill the shit out of anyone with armor surrounding them, but not if they have a piece of half inch plywood over their head.

i get lots of kills with first method if i use 250 and 500kg bombs(i am rather inaccurate with 50/100kg bombs). second method is most used one as it is easiest one and third one is variation on second one, but you are bordering suicide if you pull out too late(if you actually pull out). 4th method is only inaccurate method here, although you could calculate bomb location depending on altitude.

Yes, but

You can look around, but you can’t move around. So while I can look at the floor or behind, I can’t move “the head” forward or to the side to see better.

I mean I would like it because level bombing is funny, its also super easy to counter so no worries about it being OP. I mean the dive bombing we have now will be more effective anyway, its far from impossible on urban maps, my suggestion is you line up your attack runs along streets, strafe the sides of the streets, where infantry might be, on approach, and then bomb the scouted tank.

So Taliban and WW2 Japanese are actually more related than people realise…

The max you should be doing is 60-70 degrees, 90 degrees is just a guaranteed way to die if any enemy AA even clips your plane just a little bit as plane integrity drastically affects your ability to get out of a dive.

My personal method for any Stuka I’ve found from playing 200+ hours of Big Action Volokomynsk is that you mark your target on map, let it be a spot or just a good guess where the enemy infantry stream will be spawning in from

  • You get up as high as you can, usually 800m+ - 1000m in altitude while using full throttle and Takeoff flaps

  • Once you reach about 1400m from the target that’s where you start diving; throttle down to 70% and put your landing flaps on briefly so you can transition to a abrupt steep dive. It will put you in a 60 degree-70degree angle towards your target.

  • You switch from Landing flaps to Full and crank it back to 110% full throttle as you dive as it will need every bit of momentum to rip yourself out of steep dive. At this point your bombs will drop on average few feet away from your aiming reticle.

  • To rip yourself out of a strong deep dive, after you drop your bombs (for immediate explosions drop around 600m altitude) you switch to Takeoff flaps and pull up really hard. Setting the flaps to Takeoff mode will help the aircraft pull itself up even if your pilot passes out from the G-forces.

  • Ride the momentum back up from the dive; usually your going to pitch up at 450kph+, keep going up until you hit ~200kph then level out with landing flaps then full as any slower and you’ll stall.
