Played 2 days in a row specifically with planes and I can confirm, when I shoot down a plane, and the player bails out of the game through “ESC>Suicide” before hitting the ground I dont get the kill count and the vechicle destruction count, it works only if the plane falls to the ground.
The same is, when I got shot down, and had time to bail via suicide, I get the info “You killed Yourselfe”.
I put that on board becouse, when You get shot even onece, and crash the plane, then the player that hit you get’s the kill, and even if my oponent dies throu suicide - I dont get the kill count on the pilot, but I should get the count for destroying the plane, since it was damaged, and falling to the ground.
When I get shot on my plane, I usually suicide, so the enemy player won’t get my death 
They should add featute that block vehicles for suiciders to rest of match

Once the plane is going down, I can’t do nothing,
The faster I spawn the faster I can seek my revenge, that’s the only reason I suicide
I have noticed another bug where you get the player kill but not the plane kill.
And we all know of the bug where you drop bombs/rockets and everyone dies to rifle fire lol…
But yes, it is annoying, but I have found myself doing it now to escape the 10 second free fall in a flat spin.
It doesn’t always work, I fly planes often to level pliots. I think you have to hit the actual player model not the aircraft for it to work, sometimes it’s suicide sometimes it counts as kill.
