All my games is spoilt by planes. They can kill 90% of my men in a game. And like I dont play plane because the gameplay is so boring just engineers can kill it but i dont play all time team of engineers and if dont it I can’t do nothing just wait end of game and loss like shit.
You repop you go outside of building and bomb kills all your team, wow so nice moment. You repop again, when you arive in fight an other plane kills 4 of 6 members of my crew wow so nice again. And what can i do? nothing.
My god change that, kill 20 people every one minute free is not fun. limite that one bombing and ammo and after plane is finish, no necessarily destroy just an other team is play.
some days un launch game a i think plane kill me again all time and I quit without play because i want fun not just death in chaine.
You can be best player of world anybody with plane can be do a better score than you. Well, this is a good game? no. Is like in Overwatch/LOL ulti is all time ready is bad idea.
i mostly playing vehicle as plane, i can tell you wrong cause plane can be stoped by many ways and there not so many skilled pilot the real probleme is the kamikases.
20 kills or more is not that’s so easy or so usual.
Using planes need a real gameplay and it’s an important part of a WW2 game, where we are lucky that we can use planes and others vehicles.
I’m bad with planes. Seriously I’m pathetic with those, so much it’s painful to watch.
But I’d never ask to remove them.
It’s not because I suck at something that this particular something should be removed or nerfed. To counter this, I could practice and learn to fly better. But I’m lazy and love infantry and tank duels too much, so I don’t… And it’s on me.
I’d love plane damage models to be better thought, and AA more effective vs them.
I had the same problem and I’m sure there’s still lot to learn about bombing,
I used to play only tank and infantry and tbh good infantry always is better than anything else as long as no tank can cap the point and god knows how bad i hate those kamikaze bombers just diving to kill my little panther.
but I just started to use my bomber in tunisia and I have to say it’s really fun, you need to be patient for a while to get use to your plane. And there’s nothing more fun than trying to kill a fighter or an enemy bomber.
And yes sometimes you can even get 15-20 kills but I don’t think that’s a good reason to remove something as if they remove this there will be a huge problem with those camper tanks.
Planes are annoying, i do agree. But removing them just wont do in my opinion.
I do believe one should try to add a few more counters to balance them.
Be it placed AA guns on maps or give players the option to choose some weaker, campaign specific fighter plane, regardless if they have a squad or not.
The best for planes is Normandy and Berlin Normandy first of all cause there part in Berlin where you cannot using them or it’s really difficult btw i’m not playing Moscou and Stalingrad.
The changes to the AA guns are definitely making them much more effective, I find myself being shot down by AA gun’s far more frequently than I did before.
Almost all capture points on Berlin are fully accessible to planes, with minimal difficulty, if you come in at the right angle. Normandy you have to be at a pretty low angle to actually hit inside some bunkers, but it’s probably still one of the worst for planes considering how few points take place in large enough bunkers. Tunisia is usually pretty tame, and Stalingrad is mostly just a joke.
And how good some of the planes are. Those HVARs on the Thunderbolt do work.
I play planes a lot, thunderbolt a lot, have 10x overall my number of rifle kills in planes in normandy. It might be a bit too good, wouldn’t cry if there were some adjustments made to how CAS works.
So here’s the thing. No matter how good fliers are, air superiority only does so much. You do not win battles without boots on the ground. If you’re a ground pounder, that’s a good thing, because I can’t cap in a bird. It does mean that I get to spend more time up in the bird laying down the law to opposition that’s dug in. That makes your job easier. If, you know, you’re on my side. If you’re on the opposition, well, I feel sorry for you, son. I got 99 problems but your small arms fire ain’t one.
Biggest counter to planes is other planes. I can’t count the number of times I’ve had enemy fliers spawn right on my six and I’m dead. Of course, I’ve spawned on their six as much. It’s a small sky, it’s gonna happen. Tanks can bring a plane down now if they’re flying too low. Arty fire will always be a problem, mainly because it never gets marked and you don’t know it’s there until green tracers are coming right up at you.
And then, of course, there’s the skill aspect. Yes, it takes good skill to carpet bomb with any effectiveness. Know what else is a skill? When ground pounders learn how to cover up when enemy bombers are coming, and move after the bombs go off. We’ve only got a limited capacity, takes time to swing around, takes a really long time to hit the rearm point and return for the next run. You have plenty of time to move for just sitting and waiting a few seconds.
