At around 6.47 in this video, a guy named Duka2000 shots down my plane with an AA gun, i got suspicious because he instant killed me with hes first shot, and he repeated that when i took another plane.
So i watched the replay, and the gun dosnt even aim at me - both times. Is this a bug ?
First time i watch, he does seem to turn and shoot ur 6, but i wasnโt recording,
but i did manage to grab this, after, sorry about footage, after fiddling with fps views, and the other views ,that stuff, each time i watched it, it showed gun not moving.
i am not used to using, the replays, but i think i show, he does turn to shoot?
thinking it bug, as each time i switch views, it would sometimes not even show him.
The replays dont always show exactly what really happened.
They can even show weird things that really went different in the battle.
So dont always trust them completely.
As an example, here I was manning an AA but the replay shows the gun firing by itself.
I get shot by AA too and am always surprised as it often seems to be the first shot that hit me.
That is because I dont hear or see any earlier AA gunfire trying to get me.
But as we can see in the replay -thanks i4i- the AA actually fires several rounds before you are hit.
But we only experience round one and itโs instant kaboom.
This one seems like a clean kill to me.
yeah i donโt know, tbh, it could be just a animation bug, i really cant call it, as that last vid he zooms in, but the barrel seems to shooting from the right, certainly doesnโt fire where the sight is.
replays are shit and buggy in this game. you basically cant trust them to show you exact situation in the game. e.g. sometimes (or always, i dont remember) it shows destroyed obstacles so lots of times it seems like someone is wallhacking in replay while in reality there werent any obstacles in the game.
it is low priority. there are more bugs in the game that have been there for 2-3 years and have not been fixed and they affect gameplay, so replay bugs are really not that important.
I have not seen your replay, but the replay does not reproduce all the events in the game.
Not long ago I shot down the same guy doing KAMIKAZE with an anti-aircraft gun 10 times in a few minutes, but I forgot to activate the recording tool during the game, so I downloaded the replay later. I wanted to capture the video of my brilliant shooting downs at the time and post it on social media.
However, in the replay, my flak gun kept firing in a direction that had nothing to do with the direction I was aiming for in the game. Somehow, the flak that kept firing into the void shot down aircraft that were completely out of the line of fire, and eventually my body on the flak disappeared and the unmanned flak started spinning.
So,Replay is not a direct recording of the game, it is only a reproduction of the game and its reproduction is very problematic in some parts and cannot be used as evidence or verification of anything.
Very correct. I have also seen for example planes dropping bombs (while they were not equipped with bombs), pilots jump out of planes while they are actually still inside flying the plane, infantry soldiers dying in a different way than in the battle and falling on the ground in different places/poses, and so onโฆ
Yes, sometimes Helpers and Devs ask for replays to be submitted, but I donโt know what kind of verification they are used for.
They also say that replays cannot be used to validate cheaters.
I guess there are things that can be verified by replay and things that canโt be verified, although I canโt imagine what those things are.
