guys its me that i have strange graphics setting or from the outside house interior is really pitch black…like there is a capture point in the house but every time me and my team (leaving the fact that many main german players are really no-brain) we get shot down and we cant return fire because its impossible to see where the enemy is, sadly fire blindly at every window is not possible since suppression happen only when a bomb explode near you…do you have the same problem as me?
Yeah, lighting is very exaggerated and it’s sucks.
Imho, it’s a good mechanics that gives advantage to use buildings as defensive points. Otherwise it would give big disadvantage as it does in other games - it’s much easier to spot someone standing next to the window because of the contrast of interior color and soldiers. H&G has this problem, I can hide in the shadows of the trees in the forest but will be seen inside of the house across half of the map. Red Orchestra has this problem, where you can just shoot at “abnormal” pixels in the window.
Was surprised to see that someone finally made a proper mechanics in regards to houses being better defensive points than just staying outside.
well yes but this is overly exaggerated…i mean its good to have lighthing contrast but i dont think that if you look the inside of a building from the outside you see completely pitch black…
Fiddle with gamma settings. I haven’t done that and can say that when using optics you can see people inside of the buildings, just need a larger screen area to have a better contrast.
This is where combined arms approach is good, you need tanks/mgs/snipers to cover your approach and lighten defenses. When those are absent, you can send your bots forward and cover them. I mean, you still can see muzzle flashes and it really depends on how close to the window someone is standing.
well sending by bot as cannon fodder is what i do, and to be honest i like the light contrast…sadly i play germany on normandy and most of the germany normandy community is is really stupid so no combined arms XD…i will try with the gamma setting because seeing the inside of a building completely black at 10 meter distance is really an impossible thing
Ohh I see, try Moscow campaign, I find it to be better in many ways. Normandy is more of a run and gun thing.
yes sadly i realized too late that moscow is better…now im livel 17 with normandy germany and its a pain to restart from zero
Set global illumination to minimum, that will slightly increase the visibility in dark areas.
also also, shadows could influence that aswell
