Not much to say except that pistols shouldnât cost more than a basic rifle or submachine gun since they arenât as good. Seriously, 2 weapon orders at most and even that feels too high when most rifles cost 1 but 3 weapon orders is highway robbery.
I disagree.
It doesnât make much sense tbh, but on the other hand itâs an attempt at balancing. After all, the weakness of a rifleman is when you get in CQB and youâre trying to shoot three dudes and panicking. But at med-long range, you are god
Well, they were classified as rare drops before. So imo the price is there to assure that they will still be somewhat rare, at least the later ones.
Pistols are more of a luxury item in the game. You donât need them in any way to compete in battle, you are not set back by not equipping them. They can be useful from time to time, but thatâs not enough to classify them as standard equipment.
They will be bought mostly by veterans anyway, those who already have all primary firearms ready and lots of silver orders laying around. Higher level pistols, if they didnât have luck with bronie order, give them something to depend those orders on.
Meanwhile new players would rather focus on getting their main weapons first.
So in conclusion, the price is fine.
It is too complicated. For example Tunisia campaign. For ally we have plenty of crap for one-two silver orders - british revolvers is absolute crap, colt is just regular crap. M1911A1 is only one effective sidearm, but three silver orders are too much. For axis side - we have nice and effective Beretta M34 just for one silver order. And excellent Beretta M23 for two.

well if youre German i would highly recommend buying the Walter instead of the Mauser to save money.
But since Pistols are pretty much on the line of being OP now after the buff they are very much worth it. I mean i can snipe people with such accuracy now with quick follow up shots so its basically an laser accurate bb gun
i disagree with your disagreement
no itâs just them being geedy
Thatâs something we can agree to disagree.
The main Idea from the beginning was that 99% of soldiers didnt carry sidearms, because they were too expensive and not needed anyways.
In fact even today âmostâ soldiers in modern military dont carry a side arm.
Thats why these âsidearmsâ are more of a âfinal upgradeâ to your soldier than a must pick.
-Thus the price
Strongly disagree on your assessment of the colt revolver; itâs got the same damage as the 1911 and a comparable reload speed.
The webley and Enfield revolvers do decent damage but the reload is in the eight second range, while the colt revolver is closer to three seconds.
Iâm impressed with the performance of that gun every time I use it. It doesnât have the rof of a semi-auto, but it can kill in one or two shots so it feels powerful.
Major british and american revolvers problem is accuracy. Not rate of fire or damage. When I have gun, that will be shooting where it want, even on 3m range - it is crap.
I agree that most soldiers historically and today did not and do not carry side arms, however 3 still feels like too much. I understand making the best cost 2 silver orders and the rest 1 but 3 is just too high.
And also, most people still wonât buy them because even at one silver order that would still cost a lot of time and experience to outfit all your soldiers with one.
I only have some of my best soldiers kitted out with them but am saving most of my silver orders for when I get further into other campaigns and even the one I am currently on. Not to mention when they release the next campaign.
Also, I had no idea this topic would start such an extensive discussion, but I am glad that it did.
Hope you all enjoyed your day, later.
and letâs not forget the russian nagant M1895 that has decent damage and accuracy but takes a lifetime to reload
Well as F2P player that some weeks ago got the achievement of 100hours of playtime, ive got enough pistols for all active squads.
So IDK how ârareâ they actually are.
Also considering that you spent 1 bronze on random weapon order and as soon as the new economy was released all of the guns you got from the random weapon order could be sold for atleast 2 bronze cards regardless how useless shit they were, I for example easily doubled mby even tripled my bronze cards.
So in that sense, I dont see any reason why new players should have even harder time to obtain pistols than older ones.
Especiatly as we got rather massive boost in our bronze cards due to new economy system. Especiatly ppl who spent most of bronze cards to random weapons.
Pistols are only for officers not some peasants - Empress Victoria Enlisted 1868
I went and did a comparison between the two and while the reload is much longer than I remember; the colt navy revolver is every bit as accurate as the 1911, and almost as fast to fire. I was dropping soldiers at 10-20 meters with one or two shots.
Overall I fount it to be a good gun with clean sights and a powerful round. Reloading takes a while, but you can interrupt the reload at any time to fire if you get caught off guard. Would recommend.
