Re-maxing my Allies in Tunisia, unlocked the m1 zook. Since I never grinded Normandy, I’m not certain if it’s worth replacing my Brits Piat with them. Piat proved quite reliable against anything encountered in Tunisia… So I genuinely don’t know.
Allies vets, what are your thoughts, Piat or Zook?
really isn’t worth upgrading to the m1 bazooka as it goes through less armor for slightly more velocity, now if it was the m9 then it would be worth it, though you can larp with the m1 bazooka and m1 carbine as a “tank hunter” as they would use that if their TD wasn’t available
If this was Normandy I’d say for sure upgrade to the bazooka cus it has the penetration and velocity to take out stuff like tigers and panthers from a safer distance, since this is Tunisia and nobody plays axis so you’re likely to just run into AB41s you honestly could stick with the boys ATR and do just fine
both seem to be good enough in the game, yet realistically speaking, the regular bazooka only had 80mm of penetration, just enough to fight off Panzer IV and Stug III with a good shot, the Piat while slow as fuck had a much higher penetration value which could penetrate the Tigers frontal armor, and because of the slow travel speed and the flight angle of its HEAT grenade it was more effective against sloped armor thus being able to penetrate the Panthers frontal plate with a good shot.
Interesting. Even thought there’s no panther, nor tiger (yet!) in Tunisia, I’m all for more pen power. the warhead SEEMS more potent for the piat? I’m not sure of this… Perhaps I’ll try a bit of both. There’s USA and Brit squads anyway, I’ll just give each their respective version.
Is not normandy so the M1bazooka dont have problem kill tank, use what you want use, but dont expect so much difference they work the same aganaist current axis tank

In Tunisia there are a lot of long line of sight allowing vehicles to have a good and safe firing position in the gray zone. The projectile of the PIAT have a muzzle velocity of 53 m/s while the M1 Bazooka have 82 m/s, that’s an increase of 65% in muzzle velocity.
PIAT:
Pro:
Higher armor penetration (80 mm)
Higher caliber warhead (88 mm) ==> More post penetration damage
Con:
Slow muzzle velocity ==> Struggle to destroy enemies at range, big firing arch
Higher reload time (3.1 s)
M1 Bazooka:
Pro:
High muzzle velocity ==> Better suited for destroying enemies at range
Lower reload time (2.6 s)
Con:
Lower armor penetration (60 mm)
Lower caliber warhead (30 mm) ==> Usually require more shots than the PIAT to destroy a vehicle

Both are fine IMO, Bazooka is just easier to shoot at range.
