Instead of “realistic” i suggest to add “inspired by history” dev dont want the game be an encyclopedia and people keep rant about “the lack of historical accuracy”
So
Change the description and call it a day no more complain

I mean it is a WW2 sandbox. Everything we have and or get covers everything from the very well known and famous to rare, experimental, or prototype. Everything is from the period one way or another
Try to put half of this in the historical purist head
I think it needs to be a middle-ground of the two. Obviously its not 100% “realistic”, but it also is working at having a fair number of accurate references.
I don’t really care anymore. Been a while I realized it had nothing to do with history, except the setting it’s inspired from: ww2.
From the jumbo to repeated censorship passing through automatics exclusive battles…
… I just play Enlisted to make “pew! pew!” And unwind after a big work day.
It’s not about history buffs being so stubborn that they’ll refuse anything but a simulator. It’s the blatant lack or caring that goes into certain decisions and additions to the game. Because I read your comments from the new Heavy Machine guns thread today I’ll use that as an example. The new German MG42 squad thats wearing the late war SS Eichenlaubmuster camo pattern. That did not have to be included. I could get over the MG42 (even though it shouldn’t be there aswell) but it’s small things like that camouflage that people have brought up in the past (I know I have) and yet they still shows up in campaigns where it shouldn’t. Ergo of course people are frustrated and annoyed.
Also what even is this sort of suggestion if that is the route you want to go then why even bother making a WW2 game? Make a fictional setting and gives the devs better tools to create a sandbox.
more like, fictional.
because what you suggest, still falls short for what we have.
Fair is a matter of debate.
Historical inaccuracy is symptom. Cause is laziness/ weird priority order of the devs. Devs should also be forbidden to say they listen to us, because this gives people fake hope that they care/ that listening includes an action based on it.
And i want exactly that, what we already have written on the main site
They “listen” not they “care”
Can be a ww2 game even if is inspired by history or fictional, i dont see the problem if the game is fun is a win
The problem here is the game is inspired by history have historical element and it go on the way of the fictional keep calling himself “historical accurate”
Remove the “historical accurate from the description” and no one can complain anymore this is what i say
I don’t think it’s that simple. Look at Battlefield V and the route it took to historical accuracy which was one of it’s most controversial talking points. It’s one of the most criticized BF games ever and one of the most criticized AAA games in the last half decade.
No? You can’t change or go back on a vital promise to the game and expect people to not be upset. People have already spent money on this game. Using an analogy, you don’t get, for example, a chair custom made by a woodworker but all of the sudden he says “I’m too lazy to get more wood, and the pieces we have are too small to fulfill the correct size of the product you requested, so we’re just going to make the chair a bit shorter than what you wanted it to be.” Would you be upset when you get promised one thing and they end up doing another? Something you may have spent money on as well? It’s scummy and simply “fixing” the problem by changing the home page two years after having the game open to everyone isn’t going to stop people from speaking on it.
Edit: Also, explain the HESCO Barriers (1990s) in the Pacific if the issue is them not being lazy, but solely using WW2 for inspiration
Game is not 100 % accurate (FG 42 was limited, not standard weapon) but overall very accurate. Weapons, vehicles - everything very accurate.
It is, dont use BFV because enlisted first is in beta second is a f2p, change the game description for Wip game is a easy thing to do
Yes
Sure, like the immortal m13 in the pacific or the stalinium on t34 and dont forget ww1 gun working better than ww2 one
Very accurate
“Historic” can be left if the concept of campaigns is redesigned.
Let me explain: In the battle for Moscow, we have Mkb which should not be there. But! The first Mkb were tested in the spring of 42 near Leningrad and Demyansk (if I remember correctly).
How are the villages near Moscow and Leningrad architecturally different? For those who do not know - nothing.
It is necessary to rename the “Battle for Moscow” into the “Autumn-Spring Campaign of 41-42”
For complete happiness, add more maps without snow and so that snipers have not a white mask coat on them.
And thus build campaigns.
Even if I’m wrong about the use of Mkb in the spring of 42, ok, the campaign can cover battles in the winter of 42-43. In general, nothing will change in terms of weapons, but it becomes possible to expand the tank range (pz-4 with a length of 75 mm versus t-34 and kv).
p.s. I apologize for my English, I am writing through a translator.
