I’m creating this post for people to post possible perks to be added or even about the old ones, it could cover balancing, even types for specific division types & so on.
The first one I thought of was a perk to allow to reload the gun while sprinting.
Interested in how this thread would proceed & the perks you guys are going to list/come up with.
Personally I think the best perks are:
+100% stamina (more run is always good)
+100% ammo for primary (on the soldiers/weapons that need it, like mortars, LMGs, AT rifles, etc)
+200% heal per medkit (allows any medkit to become advanced healthkit)
+24% reload (mostly on SMGs and LMGs)
+50% weapon changing speed (allows swapping to grenades to be faster as well)
Some perks are pretty useless, like weapon sway (as the guns are pretty accurate, just aim where the barrel points) and health regen out of combat (as it doesnt regen you fully and you rarely are out of combat long enough for it to kick in to begin with) and bolt action fire rate on anything that doesnt use bolt actions.
I think we should get some soldier type specific perks, like build/repair speed for engineer/drivers, more recoil control for LMG users, fire resistance for flametroopers.
I also think there should be less RNG with the perks, as a 5* soldier is really hard to obtain and it can roll 5 trash-meh perks and not get any good perk.
it also helps with pulling out your knife, which allows you to run much faster. This can only be done out of combat or when you have that perk, otherwise your response time is too slow. But you can literally become sonic if you pull your knife out with engineer.
The soldier specific or division specific are going to be a good addition since for tank crewmen I see it pretty off that they aren’t getting something to help them with their equipment of combat. if it would go into be division specific I think it should be much related to a weapon than being a general thing.
For the rerolling I find it odd that when I do go for them recently (not sure if it changed at given point) I would only be able to pick from those that I have chosen from previously which defeat it’s purpose.
I think the sprint reload perk should also generally increase reload by fair amount (I know some soldiers reload super fast even without perks but reload speed should be normalized).
I thought of this one right now, able to melee while sprinting but each performed hit would also consume stamina, if the player have the increase stamina perk this could be good to supplement it while sorta lackluster without it in most cases probably.
