As the title indicates, when I try to play the FPS drops are strong, from 70/60 to 30 or 45 constant, when before I had 90/80 constant FPS, I don’t know if it is because of the graphics updates but at least the “GPU benchmark” indicates ultra and it still goes badly for me and even more so if I have everything on low, since before I played in ultra with 60/90 constant fps, I stop the specifications of my laptop:
One thing you can do is find some program that will shut off everything on your computer that is constantly running that doesn’t need to be running. I used to have a program called “End it all”, which with one click did this, and it was free. Now, I have a program that constantly scans for newer drivers, and it has a game boost which essentially does the same thing as End it All. But, this might help. My old computer I had to use it or a lot of newer games would just jerk and jerk.
Another thing I do is clean my computer regularly with Wisecare 365. My old computer would slow in time, and this , along with end it all kept it’s speed up, which was compared to my newer computer…>Bad…But it helped. Wisecare 365 has a free mode, so I never pay for it. And no, I am not trying to promote any products, but over the years this is what I have used on my computers, which did speed up my old computer.
laptops are in general shit cause their CPU and GPU perform worse than their desktop counterparts and they have power constraint if they operate on battery.
are you playing with power cable plugged?
did you ever clean your laptop? this could easily be thermal throttling. run OCCT benchmark and see the temperatures under load. https://www.ocbase.com/
download latest GPU drivers as they can be the issue.
this could also be software issue and clean install could fix it(or it could just waste your time)
also this could easily be that your laptop is simply inadequate to run this on ultra settings(dont trust game benchmark). both your CPU and GPU were low end when they came out and they are basically nerfed versions of their desktop low end variants. in that case you may just need to lower your settings.
I play with a computer plugged in, regular cleaning so dust or anything else is not a problem, with a cooling base which does not overheat, and even when it overheated it was fine, all the drivers were updated, I think it must be that the specifications of my PC are no longer the customs or minimum?, because I play at the minimum in 1980x1080 and it gives drops in fps, in a low resolution there is a constant 60 fps
