Possibly one of the many memorable missions from the Call of Duty franchise is non other than “Blackcats” feature in world at war.
I say this cause as much as i love the current attacker aircraft in the game. I would absolutely freak over the idea of being able to use quite Possibly my favorite plane in enlisted. The PBY-5 Catalina.
It honestly might even be a half decent counter to the monster Ju-188 in Normandy. Even though i believe the plane to have seen more conflict in the pacific theater.
Either way. I honestly do believe that a plane like thay would be a wonderful edition in the future tech tree. Or even as premium squad.

The PBY-5 is an awesome plane, I hope we start getting the boat planes and some of the other weirder planes ported from warthunder.

I never knew this plane was used to drop bombs/torpedos. Nice.
But with a cruisingspeed of just 210 kmph…just a sitting duck…or a flying duck…or a swimming duck. 
I recon it wont manoeuvre very well either.
Oh well, the more planes, the merrier.
Smells like low tier premium/event/collectible plane to me.
It depends. Because so far, Devs have the bad habit of enforcing max fuel load on every plane. So we have some attackers and bombers that are unnecessarily heavy as F because they carry 2h or so worth of fuel, when the average match length is 20-30 min and the average life expectancy of a single plane is way shorter.
As such, heavy seaplanes (that are known to carry an awful lot of fuel to perform long range patrols) would be severely penalised with the current system.

PBY-5A looks better because it can land on the field because of chassis

It would be and it would be so fun.
Imagine pby-5 with such a big crew on Gavutu water-landing next to the point and all the pilots hop out with thompsons. Would be crazy.

It could also carry carry 1 ton of bombs, had 3 turrets and about 10 crew members making it the perfect shocktrooper weapon.
