The mechanics of the game are such that things that need to be in the battle to balance tanks and such are behind time walls and pay walls.
All of the levels and shit and cassa belly as a free game. Either charge for the game and make if fun. Or make it free to play and fun and we will buy cosmetics, but this shit is pay to win at worst and pay to avoid time syncs ES style at best. either way I’d burn the money before buying anything from this studio.
Best of luck on your next game. Lets hope you don’t layer the monetization on so fucking thick we can’t even see the game through the shit.
To balance tanks? You must mean to make tanks better, because you get one of the best tank counters straight away at level 1, on your first squad. You don’t need anything fancy, just digital balls of steel.
Obviously a lot of frustration, more unknowns, like what is his game machine, ping, FPS experience, etc. We all know it’s true starting out the average noob like me, struggles to survive, feels over-whelmed by purchased tech, that not just him but a lot of players choose not to drop $coin for. So either grind or adios. There has to be enough elements to hold a newbie player’s attention to be willing to grind, in that dude’s case apparently not.
I have stated before there is a better way, people disagree, think the idea of subscription levels is already incorporated with battle pass or elite battle pass. Won’t add more don’t want to walk on this tread with another topic
I still don’t get it since squads I am most effective with are basic grunts everyone gets…not even bothering on some fancy weapons. I’am f2p myself ( mostly since I bought Stalingrad as it’s a bargain compared to premium squads)
Order gain is based solely on XP meaning match performance, the only people who are hurting for orders are those who aren’t getting any kills. The average Enlisted player is far worse than in any other F2P shooter I’ve played, it’s laughably easy to top the scoreboard and have 100+ kill games every match. Just don’t be completely braindead and you’ll get tons of orders.
Blockquote You can play 5 campaign with out pay anything. Snail game need grid to win not pay to win.
This is it exactly. This is a free game, and beta version at that. It is, very technically, testing the environment, the units, the combat, as each new thing gets added. If everyone gets to soar into the better units quickly, the lower units don’t get tested.
I pay for the premium. You know what that means I get to do? I get to test the better units, the later weapons. That’s what I’m doing. It’s not winning anything, it’s just being one of the early datapoints. For example, late game tanking in Stalingrad as it stands leans heavily toward the Russians. Pz.IV G, the heavy tank with added armor points? Sucks. Paper tiger. Glass cannon. Gets absolutely destroyed by a stiff breeze. Same with the T-34E for the Reds. But that KV-1? Monster. And they get to track that data, and see how the performance overall goes, rebalance as needed. And still, that level 1 rifle company can come right in, have Dude 1 run up and drop a TNT pack on that tank and blow a hole in it like it was Adolf’s head.
