Prob already suggested in the past but how about making such special teams like all the other squads.
You can either make them regular ground troopers but with special spawns at the flanks
Or you could do as in H&G type of and give them their own planes that must get thru the AAs and Air support to get to its destination then the player can choose to jump out with them with an click. Perhaps they get an larger radius that includes the enemy dark zone ? But they also can be shot down parachuting in
Either of them makes no difference but could solve the special weapon problems people face rn like full squads of FGs and other things as well

While cool the only ones that would fit would be the allies in Normandy. In all 4 campaigns germans didnt drop paratroopers.
SU didnt drop paratroopers. And i am pretty sure that the brits didnt drop paras in Tunisia. So the only one which one would fit would be normandy allies.

Yeah for gaming purposes its an small detail, not everything has to be perfectly historical if youre not making an historian type of game with sideshows of what happened during those moments. I mean Jumbos isnt an small detail either if we must be nitty gritty
I mean, Enlisted isn’t and won’t ever be historical by any means but we can at least make it believable. Most people won’t even notice things like Jumbo but paradrop operation that never happened wll be noticed by everybody but the biggest ignorants.
Like, who will believe in paradropping soviets into besieged stalingrad? Sure it would be cool, and complete bullshit.

arent there already paratroopers in the inf rooster ? then i would say the damage is already done. Some maps they might be able to jump on some others they just work with the ground force. Just to meet the middle ground

Yes, there are paratrooper units in game. Because they were there in real life as far as I know, and they fought on foot. I don’t see a reason to change it.
Then only Normandy would have paras for Market-Garden operation. I doubt devs will make a new mechanic for 1-3 maps.

Paratroopers should only drop in normandy allies. Germany does have paratrooper squads but after Crete 1941 they were dropped very rarely.

Well was just an suggestion to solve both FG spamming along with other weapons but also sniping tanks perhaps as well as introducing an new mechanic that suits for all play styles if thats interest the dev team. Dont have to be with planes as said but at least its own squad abilities
There’s really no need to copy sht* from a sht and arcadey game like Heroes and generals* where people fall out of nowhere on top of the enemies heads and jump around like pink fluffy bunnies. Heroes and generals is basically CS:GO with a WW2 theme, it’s BS game for a ww2 genre.
**Enlisted has a far far better gameplay, better realism, better tactics and a much much better challenging real WW2 like environment than that bs heroes and generals which is the reason why gamers like me who like realism left HnG forever for Enlisted and will actually invest real money in Enlisted because Enlisted deserves it, AND ALL OF IT because Enlisted offers a lot more realism then that bs game called HnG. If you like arcadey and sh*t gameplay that HnG offers please just go back to that game, don’t ruin this beautiful game Enlisted which actually focuses on WW2 realism theme **
