Like the title says, there should be some limitations on where you can select to drop with your paratroopers.
We are not allowed to put a spawn point or vehicle near the capture point, so why can paratroopers just drop right in the middle of it?
I had so many game where just one player with paratrooper won the game by just droping on top of the cap point, most of the times when it was in a bulding with no roof access so he could just clear the point from above with cover advantage on his side.
I think that during the period when a strategic point falls, paratroopers should be prohibited from parachuting to the next strategic point.
As the defender, I didn’t even have time to return to defense or repair the assembly point, but the paratroopers had already airborne into the strategic point first.
True, they should implement that or limit the number of para squads that can be used simultaneously (I don’t know if that is already implemented, but there were games in which I could see up to three para squads simultaneously).
Added to the fact that the Germans do not have BR II paras, which is quite unbalanced in those games because they are only BR IV or V.
Normandy is utterly unplayable with paratroopers existing, simple as.
They are the most toxic and abused mechanic in the entire game and it’s disgusting honestly.,
agreed 100%. the paratroopers completely destroyed the gameplay mechanics. this used to be a clash between two forces, one force pushing the objective from a staging point, as it actually works when an army has to take a territory, and the other force defending the position by holding the line and making the attack too costly to mantain.
once paratroopers were added, the whole push the lines mechanic went out the window, since the entire battlefield is a fortnite paradise with people fighting from all directions to all directions with no approach lines, no front, no rear, no flanking movements, no tactics. is just people all over the map shooting each other.
when they reworked the maps, they shown this as an auxiliary explanation:
purple being, the concentrations of forces.
if they would make one with the full paratrooper spam force on attack, what do they think it will look like? an entire purple rectangle from grey zone to grey zone? or a completely purple circle on objectives with no flow to and from, at all?
Wanting paratroopers to not be paratroopers…
Eh.
If they’re dumb enough to drop on points directly, they’re dead meat before they touch ground with the massive drop speed nerf they got.
That is… if the defenders aren’t dumb as well and don’t forget to look up when they hear the very loud plane sounds accompanied by flak explosions…
yea, its easy! i should just flank em, bro!!! i just have to try harder and git gud. clearly, a skill issue.
You said it yourself
Paras aren’t more dangerous than any other squads nowadays. They’re only difficult to those with no situational awareness.
