A paratrooper exploit, is hardly what I’d consider an insignificant detail

Oh wow a rifleman squad that can slowly deploy to anywhere on the map but is still limited to the combat zone area from the safety of the coverless sky and can only get some equipment of predetermined strength from a box which is worthless if it lands somewhere inaccessible or guarded, they can’t bring extra ammo, grenades or medkits, toolboxes or secondary guns even if they take a ground spawn and there’s only 6 of them, i mean i can always bring an extra smg squad if you want i actively took one out, an assault squad that had an engineer with an smg btw, to put in the paratroopers because, wait for it

So far, I’ve only had paras landing in front of my gun and looking around clueless while I shoot one by one. But when in the hands of a player with two brain cells, they can be an issue.
So again, the squad only gives a decent strategic advantage in the hands of a good player and this pretty much applies to any other squad in game.

Exactly, almost always better of flanking on foot. Might take a bit longer (we’re talking walking a few hundred meters max though, typically only 100m more) but whatever your squad, you’ll be better armed unless you’ve unlocked nothing.
