So basically what you are saying is that you prefer to be on the attacking side because you have the advantage of dropping an OP squad behind the defensive line and capping the point since the defenders are ācampingā the points the developers have placed in order to defend their zones? Do you realize how ridiculous you sound? Defenders cant venture into the attackers zones yet the attackers can venture or deploy into the defender zones where is your so called fair balance? Also I didnāt say anything about any other out of balance squads and tactics like the flame thrower or bombs or non sensical pay to win squads as thatās not the topic here. Adding the para squads ruins the playability especially when they can directly deploy on top of a roof of a cap point and literally just prone and wait for points to count. I find your ignorance hard to take seriously as obviously you are part of the problem that abuses an exploit and calls it a fair part of the game.
So how do you counter them? Do tell?
Where you playing against bots? Defending against anybody other that bots is not easy and it never was. Obviously when playing against a server side DSync bs round then itās a slaughter fest but playing a real round with no ping advantage is anything but easy.
Pretty much like every infantry your priority should be to notice them as soon as possible.
If you let them surprise you, you are done.

Itās simple, I have situational awareness. I HEAR the loud para plane approaching will all the explosions following it. I merely look upā¦
And if paras are dumb enough to drop directly ON our cap, they get wiped in the seconds they touch ground IF I missed any of them falling down.
Also, as a defender, I KNOW when a cap is going to be lost, and I start retreating in advance, preparing my stand on the next point fast.
Smart paras, flank from 50m to 75m away from the cap. But by then⦠Theyāre not more dangerous than any infantry class smart enough to flank.
Paras are fun, a great new class bringing a MUCH NEEDED new tactical dimension to the otherwise zerg ish swarm the point in a line behavior.
They ARE more dangerous, especially when one objective is just lost, and another - just revealed.
Most of defending team is usually still engaged in fighting in the previous (lost) objective, while the paratroopers need only 20 sec. to land and build a safe rally behind the point.
2- 3 squads from that new rally and another objective falls to hands of attackers.

Since it appears I struck a nerve, I can tell you are the exact type to sit on an MG nest or snipe in the back of the map. So because paras threaten that advantage, youāre getting upset. Try actually playing the game for once.

It is actually, itās called a comparison. Paratroopers are far from the most toxic squad or tactic we have currently.
No, they donāt. It creates more options for attackers, and more counters for defenders. Dropping on a point is suicide and all it does it get you killed and wastes your teams tickets.
Thank you for proving my point. You are most likely a German main who is throwing a temper tantrum because you lost your ability to exploit new players. You would probably complain about low player count, too.
Paratroopers arenāt going anywhere. If you canāt adapt, and just want to camp on MG nests, go play something else. We donāt need you here.
The problem with paratroopers is numerous;
at the very least there needs to be a penalty similar to bombers (where they have to approach at the edge of the map and it takes a good portion of time for them to fly towards the drop zone leaving them vulnerable to any enemy fighters that might be in the area).
The supply crate they come with seems ātoo usefulā.
they should get a choice of 1 specialization that can only be changed out-of-match; they should not get to choose their specialization on the fly.
Honestly, no. Thereās nothing game breaking about them. Try it yourself.
Iām far more successful with my other squads tbh. I have engineers and AT-gunners in those as well, you know.
The only thing that needs to be fixed, and I already said this, is the ability to speed-run the next obj.
The only thing I donāt like about paratrooper is the the fast cap.
I think maybe paratrooper shoudnāt be allowed to capture a point as soon as they land. Maybe a 20s timer could be nice.
