Paratrooper Customization for Regular Squads

Besides jumping out of planes, Paratroopers were often elite infantry on the ground. For example, when Germany stopped doing operational paradrops the majority of Fallschirmjager were used as units on the ground. (However I just wanted to say that paratrooper drops did still happen, they were just for small surgical operations and not large scale)

Now we do have the Paratrooper class, a few regular squads that are modeled after Paratrooper squads such as the Screaming Eagles and the Normandy German Mortar squad and Berlin MG squad, and a few Premium squads that are Paratrooper ground squads.

But I think it would be cool to have Paratrooper customizations for regular squads in general. Maybe I feel like making my Assaulter or Sniper squad into Fallschirmjager

And just to be clear obviously this goes for all factions. I just talked about the Germans because the Fallschirmjager are so well known

arent their cloth have one of those orange and black dot camo we already have in berlin? but then again i know nothing about ww2 so yea anyway would be cool

yeah. from what we can see, not even devs fully know uniforms. so that’s fine.

anyway, if you are reffering to the stg 45 squad, that’s an experimental camo called leinbermuster ( something like that )

the others are just regular waffen’s pea dot camouflages with stg 44 pouches ( and… for some reason, wehrmacht collar tabs ).

paratroopers equipment is often recognizable because they have yellow tabs or generally squared tabs with sea-eagles / seagulls as marking.

so when talking about paratroopers:

often referring to:

essentially helmet options and knochensacks / jump suit.

Not exactly. It was simply the latest pattern camouflage to replace both Waffen ss and Army camo. And in the last stage of the war, it was distributed in limited quantities to various military units. But those numbers weren’t so small (several units, etc.) that we would call it “experimental camo”. - Well, unless only because of the special paint that was supposed to “fight back” infra-red night vision.

But in the game, this uniform is still the wrong example. The color texture is more typical of post war variants.

i should have said, custom made or rather, inspired to.

rather than experimental.

because that camouflage that it’s in the game didn’t really existed. or rather, it’s more of a inspiration
similar to the other type that they made recently:

i suppose these are meant to be some sort of mountain splintermustern but…

yeah… more likely inspired than anything.

it’s kind weird. most of the uniforms looks odd and contains mistakes. looks somewhat great though.

they did right the volkssturm, paras, pilots, & tankers uniforms ( outside lacking basic colors for the tunic … but that’s alright )

others… well. not many for the german army.

In general I’d like to see so many more customization items. There is so much material for them to add. Literally they just have to comb through books and the internet

But I’d like to see a lot more German camouflages, all different varieties including SS. A cool skin is a cool skin

Absolutely right. Some stuff has not been fixed since ancient times. The impression (which I have already mentioned more than once) that their team probably does not have a very “strong” unit in terms of historical reference. Everything seems to be copied very quickly from the very popular “Osprey” books, mainly made for modelers.

However, as you noticed, the game has a lot of individual parts, uniforms and equipment elements, which, if they were singled out in the customization process, would allow at least some historical-looking soldiers to be “put together”.

EDIT: which would not require a very large investment of time in their development process, and it could be done quickly enough.
