Maybe I’m missing something, but whenever I try to bail out of my planes after being damaged beyond repair, shot down, or after simply getting bored of flying I can’t seem to find the button to deploy my parachute and I inevitably die on impact with the ground. Does anyone know which key to press to deploy it, or if that is even a game mechanic yet?
there’s no parachute.
That’s a shame, why waste weapons and equipment on pilots when they won’t even survive exiting their planes? I hope they get on that soon.

It’s probably something that they want to implement but haven’t gotten to yet. I’d say this is one of those things that’ll show up in time.

You can land on the ground. Not easy but it’s doable.
I have done it too, but generally you can’t take off afterwards or you land out of bounds, leading to death.
Learn when to call it quits. If your plane is damaged and you can only turn right or left properly it is time to crash land it and dismount. If you are waiting until the plane is a firey metal comet then it is too late.
Problem is, you don’t have a lot of landing options in the current map. Even if you manage to find a nice strip and place her down, you’ll still die in like a minute. I’ve spent hours scourging the maps for makeshift runways but I’ve am yet to find one in the play area.

Tovarisch, if red army wanted of you to have parachute, they would have issued one.
Jump into pond or river just as well as parachute.
The issue isnt how damaged you plane is before landing. The issue is how damaged your plane is after landing on uneven ground.
