Give every Para squad have the option to choose their primary weapon, similar to the new Soviet Paras, and then have the crate rewards depend on your BR.
For example; if you go into battle with a M1A1 grease gun as an American Para squad you would have crate rewards that would be of a similar tier. So an assault squad would be given BR2 machine guns, an AT squad BR2 AT guns, a recon squad BR2 snipers, etc. Similarly, higher BR weapons would get higher BR crate rewards.
This could also modify the number of weapons for certain squads, like the Italian para squad. The number of flamethrowers that can be taken out of a crate could depend on the BR (eg. no flamers for BR 1-2, three for BR 3, and six for BR 4-5).
This method of deciding would not only help balance the game, but also free up paratrooper weapons either for the tech tree or battlepass shop.

Yeah so that both Germans and USA can spam paratroopers in low BR as both faction have at least 3 different para squad. This will be… enjoyable I guess, particularly for the players that cannot get the event squads anymore.
As balance in this game is already broken anyway that would not change much.

Certainly, it’s an important matter, but the first thing the DF should do is to resolve the player base issue between the Axis and the Soviet Union. Until then, I hope you can enjoy the beautiful melodies of the Panzerfaust 100 and RD-44.

Paras, Flametroopers, and other “specialist” units should be limited to 1 or 2 squads anyway

The devs clearly said that they were too lazy to implement that kind of restriction. This should have been made with merge.

I was more thinking since it already looks like this
USA - 2 low BR 2 HIgh BR
AXIS - 3 High BR
Soviets- effectively 2 low BR 2 high BR
Japan - 1 low BR
all that is needed to balance it out is 1 more low BR German paratrooper, and 2 Japanese.

One Japan para can have selectable primary. And One will be High BR

They didn’t say they’re not doing it. They just said they wanted to gather more data before dedicating the resources to do it.
