No axis low tier paras?

I get that Soviets have a special ability to choose their loadouts, but that means they have no counter axis paras to go against, I really suggest lowering BR of Italian paras or something to compete, paras on one side is unbalanced gameplay

Yes, the Italian paratroopers to not need to be in BR4, the flamethrowers are just $hit compared to even T3 flamers, and the rest of their box is not viable at BR 4 and 5,and their gun they have belongs at BR1

Yeah, yeah the Soviet Paras can bring BR5 machine guns into BR2 matches, I don’t see why the Italian Paras couldn’t do the same with their shitty flamethrowers.

I wouldn’t say shitty, 6 man para squad is pretty good compare to 2 you can only get on normal squad, if they are going low tier, they need their flamer option remove for br1-3 so it’s on par with british para

skill issue, the flamers are fine.

Here’s the thing though, the fuel is split between the 6,and most of your NPCs die when you drop on the point, and when you are on foot, you get the fuel of 3 people and 3 times the range of their flamethrower, and you can make them high BR squads with fg42s

high br you have the fg42 with grenade launcher squad, I would rather have them improve that german para squad with bigger ammo reserves and save Italian para for low br.

If you know how to time your drop, and not drop right on top of the objective but on the flank, you should always have 6 para when landed, Italians para flamer range is 18m so same as normal flamer

Honestly, I think the Italian Paras would be fine at BR3 if they just reduced the flamethrowers from 6 down to 3 out of the crate

So they get even worse flame capabilities for BR3? They are still fighting teir 5 players, and they will have less fuel than normal flamethrowers, which you might as well take because you can give them infinitely better gear that what the paratroopers have.

They’re paras, not flame troopers. 3 flamethrowers behind enemy lines should be perfectly fine. That’s 3 more flamethrowers than any other para squad gets.

Or you could just completely remove the flamethrowers and drop the squad down to BR2.

The real sticking point tho is the SMG. No way that thing should be up to BR 4.

Honestly, what I want to see is every Para squad have the option to choose their primary, and have the crate rewards depend on your BR, but that might be too ambitious of me to expect from DF.

That honestly would sound nice, and making premium thompson 100 and vicker lmg a tech tree item for allie br5. Two bird in one stone improving weapon variety and more flexible fair paras. They did it with m2 mortars so this is very possible.

I agree! If the italians with their mediocre flamethrower gets put in t4 then so should the soviet guys with rd44, avs 36 and dt 29. Or then just lower the italians

Hi @James_Grove, lowering BR does seem to be a necessity for balance reasons, however it is done.

Please consider this and raise with devs.
