people here have been talking about how historically speaking there aren’t really anti tank weapons for the allied factions that can compete with the Panzerfaust 60, especially since it is a BR3 weapon right now.
but why hasn’t anyone looked at this issue from the opposite direction? Germany had a Panzerfaust 30 - a weaker version of the later Panzerfaust 60 and Panzerfaust 100. That one would fit perfectly well into BR3.
It would still have considerably better penetration power than the BR2 GrB - 39 (90mm pen), but wouldn’t defeat even BR 5 vehicles frontally with ease.
hu? what do you mean ?? Soviets had only PTRS until now. they are getting the Bazooka - the GrB 39 should be good enough to compete here. Yes it performed kinda bad in the past, but this has changed quite often, it should have 90mm of penetration power - which should work very well against Sherman, T34 and KV1 → if it doesn’t, then that’s the games fault, not the weapons fault.
also why do you justify BR3 being in favour to the Germans, because BR2 is not in favour to them? What kind of logic is that?
well also less range, the 30 stands for range in Meters, but thats not really all that unfair in my mind, since it would still have much higher penetration power than other handheld AT weapons for its BR.
well you are of course right that this type of “drop off” would still be manageable if aimed correctly
-though the Panzerfaust 30 had like half the projectile velocity of the Panzerfaust 60, so the drop off should be almost two times as strong, which should be noticeable.
Sure why not but then buff BR2 AT weaponry, right now Sturmpistole and GrB39 have absolutely awful reload speeds of 6sec and 4.6sec. They are completely obsolete vs M1 Bazooka (2.6sec) and PIAT (3.1sec) when Soviet going to get M1 then Axis will be at a huge disadvantage and it will turn even more players to Soviet/USA side. Having 10mm more of a pen doesn’t seem to be worth it if you have to spend 2.5x time as much on reloading.
But it won’t since reload speed is much worse on Grb39 (and especially Sturmpistole) and also aiming is awful with it’s not being zeroed at 0m but 100m for no reason, while M1 is just aim and shot. All Axis BR2 AT weaponry are horrible.
I mean, I agree with you that axis BR2 probably deservers some love, but again, don’t act like axis BR2 sucks compared to other factions, Soviets had literally no real AT weapon until BR3, I personally am very happy to see something like a Bazooka for Soviet BR2, though I rather would finally like to see some actual Soviet launchers, even if Prototypes mix in between.
AND also US Bazooka had already been a thing, if that one didn’t overperform before, it makes no real sense to complain about Soviets now also getting them.
that is true, it could function as a rather unique launcher - very powerful for its own BR, however less ammo to use. Though questionable if this approach of balance is really all that necessary
