This unique variant of the Panzer IV replaced the standard mechanical transmission with a hydrostatic drive system. Instead of shifting through preset gears, the tank used an oil pump to regulate speed, the driver controlled the flow of hydraulic fluid—greater flow resulted in higher speed, while reduced flow slowed the vehicle down, because the system didn’t rely on fixed gears, speed was continuously variable depending on the amount of fluid circulated. Only a single prototype was ever built, which was captured by U.S. forces in 1945, for more info, check it here
So, there was as many of this thing as the Super-Pershing? Why not then, I suppose.
sadly one, but, if we have with japs non made tanks, why not
I know, that’s what I meant.
all I wish it’s have more fun!
It must be given to the US then !
Joke aside, I don’t see why not adding this one. Though I think it might be too similar to currently existing Pz IV at BR3.
bonks no more to USA for a little while
I could get behind a new event tank, but it definitely belongs in br 3
yes
I think there were more interesting prototypes and somewhat rare versions of German tanks, like a Prosche Tiger, Stug IV, also there are many inconsistency in some German vehicles - like some Panzer IV G were actually upgraded Panzer IV E which looked a bit differently. There are no Panzer IV with a top mounted MG that also lack Panzerschurzen - would love to have a more naked Panzer IV but with the top MG for an event.
Then there are already many Jagdpanzer versions in the game, but the L48 version is kinda too weak for BR4, but would OP in BR3. So they could add a version with the worse L43 gun of early Stugs and Panzer IV F2, which is a bit weaker than the L48 gun, but in return make that event Jagdpanzer IV have 80mm of armor instead of 60mm. Jagdpanzers had alot of inconsistency some early ones had 60mm of armor, the later had 80mm of armor, most had the L70 gun - but some had the L48 and even a bunch used the L43.
