Its been a really long time since i looked at battlegroups and order of battles, so i may be wrong but from what i remember there were no Schurzen in North Africa and most Ausf.N were used by Schwere Panzer-Abteilung 501. So the current one should be replaced by a Panzer III J1 or L which 7th Panzer Regiment did use or rework it to a more appropriate Schwere 501 looking version. If it is to much work at least give us the option to remove the Schurzens

You are correct about the the schurzen, I have never come across any records of it being used in North Africa but it’s possible that some vehicles from the 10th Panzer division were equipped with schurzen given that the division was recalled from the Eastern front to Western Europe and then Tunisia.
The Panzer III ausf N actually was present in North Africa during the Tunisia campaign they were given to Schwere Panzer-Abteilung 501 (Heavy Tank Battalion 501) and arrived in the Port of Tunis in late 1942 into early 1943
