Panzer II Ausf. L “Luchs”

Panzer II Ausf. L in the Musée des Blindés, Saumur

Improved panzer 2 with better armor not good enough for br 2 but a good event premium tank. Like the F which in game is really the Flamm is just an up armored pz2.

Main article: Luchs (tank)

A light reconnaissance tank, the Ausf. L was the only Panzer II design with the Schachtellaufwerk overlapping/interleaved road wheels and “slack track” configuration to enter series production, with 100 being built from September 1943 to January 1944 in addition to the conversion of the four Ausf. M tanks.[21] Originally given the experimental designation VK 1303, it was adopted under the alternate name Panzerspähwagen II and given the popular name Luchs (“Lynx”).[21] The Luchs was larger than the Ausf. G in most dimensions (length 4.63 m; height 2.21 m; width 2.48 m).[21] It was equipped with a six speed transmission (plus reverse), and could reach a speed of 60 km/h (37 mph) with a range of 290 km (180 mi).[21] The FuG12 and FuG Spr a radios were installed, while 330 rounds of 20 mm and 2,250 rounds of 7.92 mm ammunition were carried.[21] Total vehicle weight was 11.8 tonnes.[21] It had 30 mm of armour on the front of the hull and 20 mm of armour on the sides and back and the same on the turret.[21] It accommodated four crew members, the commander (gunner), driver, loader and the radio operator.[22] 5cm PaK 38 auf Pz.Kpfw II Ausf.H (VK.903)

A [z2 with better armor and gun would easily fit at br2 dealing better with tanks then infantry. a good solid tank at the top of light tanks a good choice for an event or premium.
Panzer II Ausf. G (PzKpfw II G)

The fourth and final suspension configuration used for the Panzer II tanks was the five overlapping road wheel configuration termed Schachtellaufwerk by the Germans.[6] This was used as the basis for the redesign of the Panzer II into a reconnaissance tank with high speed and good off-road performance.[6] The Ausf. G was the first Panzer II to use this configuration, and was developed under the experimental designation VK 9.01.[6] There is no record of the Ausf. G being issued to combat units, and only 12 full vehicles were built from April 1941 to February 1942 by MAN. The turrets were subsequently issued for use in fortifications. Two were converted to use the 50mm Pak 38 and troop-tested on the Eastern Front.

Continued development of the reconnaissance tank concept led to the much up-armoured Ausf. J, which used the same concept as the Panzer I Ausf. F of the same period, under the experimental designation VK 16.01.[30] Heavier armour was added, bringing protection up to 80 mm on the front (similar to the maximum armour found on the KV-1 model 1941 Soviet heavy tank[31]) and 50 mm to the sides and rear, with 25 mm roof and floor plates, increasing total weight to 18 tonnes.[30] Equipped with the same Maybach HL45 P as the Pz.Kpfw. I F, top speed was reduced to 31 km/h (19 mph).[30] Primary armament was the 2 cm KwK 38 L/55 gun.[30] 22 were produced by MAN between April and December 1942, and seven were issued to the 12th Panzer Division on the Eastern Front.[30]

After asking why we get a br1-2 tank a sad gun with more armor then a tank this small should have. fun to see the guns of other br1 tanks bounce off your hull.

Developed in prototype form only, this was one of three abortive attempts to use the Panzer II chassis for mounting a 5 cm PaK 38 gun, this time on the chassis of the Ausf. G.[33] Two examples were produced which had similar weight to the tank version, and both were put in front-line service, but production was not undertaken as priority was given to heavier armed models.[33]

Another up armored up gunned pz2 good as event or premium at br2 with the right mix for a light tank of armor and gun. no not asking for both ug/ua pz2s one or the other.

More a meme or sp[g fun though to lob 6 inch shells at br3 while trying not to get hit in return, unlike many spgs has a mg making it at least able to handle some infantry.

I would like to suggest the Aufklärungspanzer 38(t) armed with the 7,5 cm K.51 L/24 and Coax Mg 42 in the same mounting as allready in game on the Sd.Kfz.251/9 and Sd.Kfz.234/3, however based on a fully tracked chassis, based on the Bergepanzer 38(t) which is essencially a Jagdpanzer 38(t) hull without the Hole, instead with 30mm (instead of 60mm) and a 2nd Vision slit on the right side.

This mobile chassis with relatively good armor, which is enove to withstand 37-40mm guns, however will not be immune, as He grenades will be its bane as well as the mounting is still 14,5mm (with multiple layers) thick. It would be more of a low Br Jagdpanzer 38(t) and give a mobile relatively good armored and armed platform as an alternative to the Stug III Ausf. A (or maybe lower, as its open top as well as the sidearmor can be easily penetrated by even HMGs).

It would also show the need of the german Army in WW2 to arm more and more vehicles to fill in holes that cant be filled with normal production of main tank forces with cheaper ersatz. With it filling the Reconnaissance and light assault vehicle vehicle with close infantry support, similar to the Sd.Kfz.250/8 or Sd.Kfz.251/9.

The History is sadly pretty much unknown, except that at least one vehicle was modified, based on a a late Bergepanzer 38(t), which has only 30mm frontal armor, a 2nd hatch with vision slit on the right side front, a simplefied divers vision port and open roof, on which the universal 7,5 cm K.51 L/24 and Coax Mg 42 was mounted on. The whole reason it was build as well as similar vehicles such as the 15 cm s.I.G. 33 on the Aufklärungspanzer 38(t) chassis was simply, to find more production capacity for the rolles as production of their main vehicles such as the above mentioned Sd.Kfz.250/8, 251/9, 234/3 along the StuH 42 was simply not enove.

There appears to be only 1 Picture left, as probaply production didnt start, along with other prototypes on the normal Pz 38(t) chassis and a modified sloped front chassis which also did not enter production.
