Pacific tips - all platforms

Here are some quick tips, kindly try and keep on topic

Use smoke or artillery if pinned down, it is highly underrated!

Equip flask on first soldier the rest will follow, also banzai charge to get to next point.

Point encamped by enemy, use phosphorus grenades

Always ensure one AT guy in one of your squads, one shot kill on AA guns, sometimes tanks if ammo

Japanese have weak armour tanks, but good guns

Ha Go has different position for MG

Use medics they make a difference, up to you if you want another assault squad

Planes

Floatplanes need to keep speed on attack 200-250 be careful, if too fast you will start to climb and miss…

Floatplanes need take off flaps deployed until 120, climb and retract when over 10 in alt

Fighters are great for killing bombers on Pacific and floatplanes…

AT Guns are definitely better, HE works on points, use them

That will do for now! Feel free to add more.

  • Always have a radio squad.
This is the best squad in this campaign.

Equip it with 1 engineer (for rally point and ammo), 1 at gunner (to kill all the AA and AA half track), 1 sniper (makes you able to fight a long distance and therefor, save your AI from dying to make more arty strikes)

  • don’t use plane in pacific, you would waste your time.

  • equip one guy of your squad with a moltov for a AA tank easy kill. And give him +50% throwing distance perk.

  • use bayonet against AA tanks.

  • if the AA looking straight at you, you can snipe the shooter. In other case you have to flank it and aim for the head. Wait for few seconds foe the second shooter to take its place and repeat.

  • Japanese AT rifle are better than BA to shoot down ennemies if you don’t need to move.

Large Grenade Pouches - 3 smoke for cover or 3 Phosphorus to make area denial. I can’t believe how good those grenades are at denying entry to a building or a push from a certain direction.

Don’t clump up at the point like other campaigns.
You can be attacked on almost a 360 degree arc if the enemy is competent. You need to work the edges of the map on attack and defense to help hold or push through.

Always have an engineer in every squad. Building is so critical in this campaign.

On points that have buildings. Fortify and hold them. They are just as critical if not more so than that building as you can over watch and delay the enemy.

If you have them put AP mines everywhere.

On some maps, don’t go off building a rally on first contact. You might be better served holding the first push and then doing a rally.

That’s so true in Pacific compared to other campaign.

Yeah they really need to do some thing about the six pounder it’s total overkill for this campaign

Yea. My playstyle on defense is ā€œflank guardā€ because of how much the enemy flanks.
