What kinds of Premium Squads, both guns, vehicles, and planes, do you think we’ll get for the initial Pacific campaign as well as future campaigns
Owen SMG squad for Allies. Type 1 or Type 2 SMG squad for Japan.
Hard to say, depends on how crazy they get, owens were not in the Solomon’s for instance, New Gunie yes.
but they make pretty crazy inclusions in the weapons sets.
afik the initial Pacific campaign is centered around Guadalcanal, and there you had,
USMC
US Army
IJN Special Naval Landing Forces
IJA Army troops
And IJA Air force and IJN AirForce
US Army Air Corps
US Marine Air and US Navy Air Force’s
Royal New Zeeland Air Forces
They might add ships as well, so that brings in Australian and New Zeeland ships along with the US Navy and the IJN
How many Pacific campaigns do you think we’ll get in total
Obviously I know we’re not getting many all at once, I’m talking about in the future
Hopefully several, one of the problems I think they have created for themselves is that many of the campaigns have many of the same weapons in them, if they were a bit more historically accurate in what they included in some of them the campaigns would feal different because the kit would be a bit different.
Some potentail Campagines for teh japense would be:
Burma (Chinese, American, British, and CW Forces vs IJA)
New Gunnie, (Australian, American, vs IJA and IJN Forces)
DEI, (Dutch, American, Australian vs IJA and IJN forces)
Philippines, 41/42 and or 44 (American, vs IJA and IJN forces)
Okinawa ( US Army and Marines vs IJA and IJN Forces)
Just to name a few, personally I think the early war scenarios will play better largely because of the tanks)
By IJN, I mean Japanese Naval Land Combat units, Like Special naval landing forces and Paratroops that were navy personal.
Battleship Yamato, Musashi and Shinano each for $259.99 and IJN Nagato for $200, you can get all in a bundle for just $699. Pre-order it now!
I hope to see Japanese navy squad with Harley Davidson Model 1931 (w/ 11th Year Type LMG on sidecar) and SIG-Bergman M1920 submachine guns
I laughed it. Its the best pay to win weapon to destroy everything!
Realistically, HIJMS Yamato Landing Force will be possible. In the original plan of the operation Ten-go, after aground the beach they will send sailors as ground troops. (Although often misunderstood but Navy Landing Force / 海軍陸戦隊 means sailors sent for ground battles, not amphibious assault force. i.e. they were landing party)
Also, HIJMS Musashi’s sailors become ground troops, too. After Musashi was sunk, survived crews were organized to naval landing force, “Kato-unit”. (Kato is a name of Executive Officer of Musashi who lead survivors)
One thousand sailors become landing force and participated to the Battle of Manila etc., but finally only 56 troops were survived among them. (additionally, about 600 sailors including officers were not participated ground battle and returned to mainland Japan and about half of them survived.)
With the exception of the 3rd Fleet (they stationed China, so they trained for ground battles and equipped with lots of machine guns and submachine guns), sailors were basically useless in land battles so they were used as decoys. Also, they often had second-line weapons like Type Mo rifle (Mauser rifle), Type I rifle (Japanese Carcano) etc. so premium unit with such weapons will be interesting.
I would like to see the Royal Malay Regiment led by Lt. Adnan and a group of Solomon Islands natives called coast watchers.
sounds fair but without MG!!! could be OverPowerd
Don’t worry, it will only have 20mm AA guns with 50 degrees of gun depression
