Another idea that I think would be fun but also a bit of a cluster would be an idea of like guard the armored train but instead guard an entire ship fleet, kind of an air superiority type of mode but some players would control AA guns and some would control aircraft.

Imagine you are a destroyer crew member and enemy bombers and torpedo bombers are attacking your ship. Shoot them down with your anti-aircraft guns and save the lives of many of your crew members!
That sounds like a lot of fun. Enlisted needs a unique mode!
They cant even make proper AI and you are asking for working battleships?

Lol the two aren’t even related, it won’t be that hard for them to implement battleship since they can literally copy it from War Thunder.
But making it work in an fps game is whole different level. The armored train is iffy and buggy and bot navmesh is not working properly there. They cant make one simple train right and you expect them to make fully functional ship.
Also wt ship models dont have interior so they would have to make it by themselves
Since the goal is to defend the ship by using aa, you don’t really need bots since single person can man aa.

Yes you need. They are the main idea of this game and should not be left out from official gamemodes.
Also making the entire thing work would take lots of time from the devs and i dont think we are in a urgent need for ships rn. Instead they should concentrate in fixing the millions of bugs, fixing bad AI, improving matchmaking etc instead of adding more and more new content while ignoring the more important stuff.
I really hate how they prioritize things. We got rocket artillery and apc squads before the equipment selector for customs for an example. They promised that they would add it with the merge update yet here we are
Lol is there a law forcing dev to implement bots for every gamemode? They can do what they want.
This is a very different gamemode compare to other, bots are not necessary and wouldn’t bring much value in this case since you are controlling aa gun that can be used by 1 person.
Moreover, This doesn’t really need to be a official game mode, it can be a fun event.
Those are another topic and you can literally said this to anything you don’t like.
We can agree to disagree but i feel that this would be too much time away from improving the actual game. Especally if it would just be limited time event.
I think you can already do this in warthunder and in my opinion it fits better in that game than here in enlisted
They will put a lot of effort on every year’s April Fool event anyway.
They have never done nothing this big.
Modern conflict was just couple tanks from wt with modern guns from crsed and tunisia map.
Moon was one of the bigger ones with completely new map (althought used lots of copy paste assets), variety of lazer guns and tanks from wt
Mech event only gave us 3 new mechs
Zombies was also really large but they got lots of the stuff from crsed and the map was just slightly modified fortified district
The ships would be on a totally different level. We have never gotten as large moving objects before and i doubt it would work properly considering the armored train. We cant even get a simple train working without it having tons of bugs. Imagine what the ships would be
Also in my opinion the gameplay would be probably quite repetitive. Defenders would sit in AA for the whole game pointing and clicking incoming aircraft while the plane players would drop bombs and strafe the entire game.
It would get boring really fast.
If you want AA vs planes you could try some mods that have it althought without any ships of course.
The ship is also some thing from War Thunder, so I don’t think it will have as much bug as a train that they build themselves.
Defender can also get some planes. Also it is just like a tower defense game, which will be fun.
Only the 3d model is from wt. They would need to make it all work in enlisted which would be extremely time consuming.
Overall this gamemode would be too similar with warthunder naval. It would rely too much on vehicles

Yes it does.
But adding seats to couple of 3d tank models is not that time consuming. Making the ships work is.
But i dont wanna waste our time with this discussion as it doesnt lead anywhere.
