mine was also prototype… only 2 were built like that and then they changed the design. 
it was made for the cancelled operation sea lion (invasion of UK)
There were also projects with Panzer II and Panzer III. Allies had many and used in their many landings

Man, if only we got a campaign later than Guadalcanal like Bouganville or some of the Marshal island, the Marianas or the recnquest of the Philippines, then we could get LVT(A)(1) vs Ka-Mi, and have some sweet boat on boat action.
