The capture areas of the pacific are extreme well sized, they are offering a better experience compared to the old sizes, because its not as cramped, you dont clear a point by throwing one grenade you actually have to work on it, while at the same time not as tedious a clearing a house with multiple floors in Stalingrad.
This actually appears to be a fight over a real position and not a contest on who can stand in a cricle longer.
Actually we have hause as point to capture and you clear them with a granade, pacific cap zone are on the same level of tunisia
Than their layout is better than in tunesia, the fights are definetly not as cramped.
Because most of us still us BA so we are more spread,wait wen people start spam automatic and granade, the battlefield reduce himself to the point
Pacific objectives while big are mostly soft cover/concealment, one good bomb or LMG and everything is torn to pieces, besides the walking and swimming simulator that is to get anywhere.
No, the fact we can have 50 people in a cap amd only be able to see 1 at any given time is terrible, why should the enemy get a free cap for sitting tens of infantry around the edge and just outnumbering the defender
When you have 50 men on the cap while one guy keeps you busy, something has gone very side ways.
The rule on this is when the enemy is on the cap and you cant see them, go where you are not at the moment, there you will find them.
No the fact the caps are fucking massive and thereās this thing called foliage concealing everything means people can just walk onto a cap uncontested
But just because a few guys hide in foliage doesnt mean the cap is uncontested, because there is also more space for the defenders.
When these cap areas get treated like a static circle of 15m diameter and defenders arent doing anything, of course than the cap falls.
Thats however exactly why in my opinion these caps are significantly better. The defender cant just sit there or move 5 meters and clear everything.
I actually enjoy defending on these points more as well, because you cant just Arty spam the entire cap area, you cant just throw 3 cooked grenades in as an attacker.
Engeniers can built defencive structures that make sense and not just spam a room full of Tank traps so that noone can get on the point. Or crap like that.
It an actual fight and not just an assaulter murder fest at 5m distance.
Pacific capture point size are too big.
On the first capture point of aligator island, you can stand in the middle of it, in open view and yet see nobody to shoot because they hide behind or under the house, capping from place hard to access.
You basically lost the point because you can not find the ennemy who contest it.
To capture a point you have to establish a strong presence, not to hide and wait.
I dont get your point. They still need more guys on the point, when the defender is not on the point and does not push them back and search for them or holds the outer areas of the cap to not let the enemy on it, of course the point gets lost.
You describe as it appears to me the main issue with what defending has turned into.

With these points its about controlling the areas of approach and actually hold position, with good fields of fire and counterattack when a significant presence of foes has established itself.
Not waiting in the corner of a bunker shooting anyone who wants to enter.
Edit: Btw the main reason why the enemy can hide on the fringes is because too few people mark them when they see them they shoot one or two get killed and noone else knows where they are.
Example, garden of fallen heroes in stalingrad, Thereās cover and the enemy can be hiding but i know where they areamd i can flush them out, in the Pacific you see that little contest meter move along and you canāt do shit about it because you donāt know where anyone is because thereās so much foliage but the bots can easily pick you off
Less cramped, but annoying that there is no hard cover. MGMC does the job of the grenade by just spraying the whole point, it pens every building. US has a massive advantage as defenders because of it. There is a reason every match ends with 20 of them burning all around the battlefield, the entire game centers around them.
Well, yes that kind of anoying, also sad that tank traps are the only real ācounterā for it.
