Pacific Axis AI and more

There are a lot of gripes about the Pacific being unbalanced etc, some of it is pretty kosher. The Springfield 1903 is more reliable at 3 star than most the Axis weapons from a veteran for example. My post is more about the AI being rocks on the Axis side. I’m annoyed with the player base hopping on the Allied bandwagon, fine. What makes it comical is how the Allies play. It’s a feverish rush to the point to slaughter what appears to be a guaranteed treasure trove of bots huddled together for a grenade to train wreck them. After the point is clear you can rest assured they will come back standing still popping shots all over painting themselves for another round of easy ass wooping. Yes there is the occasional 1 shot through a forest of shrubs but it doesn’t even matter, the pain train is rollling and short of a premade group on the defending side, it’s a fiasco of laughs for the Allies. I started this campaign on the Axis side and defending not only this crazy but AA spam & Half track spam decimating the point with no effort absolutely sent players running to the Allied side. The AI on the Allied side might not be much better but at least they have better gear to torture the Axis AI with. I’m not even sure how to fix this dilemma to be honest but if you have the balls to play Axis, bring friends :sunglasses:

A solution to this; give XP for comitting sudoku as Japan, less bots for the allies to kill and improves immersion

Only half joking

Those bundled up bots are from full AI squads. All playerless squads are this way. They all use the same equipment - the starting rifle, and they all run to the point via the same route. Allied bots that “have better gear” are controlled by players.

Pacific Axis was really good for like two weeks and then everyone stopped playing as Japan. For some reason, Enlisted populates empty lobbies with bots that are disguised as players instead of just being honest with how many bots are in the lobby. It basically tricks people into wasting 20 minutes of their lives to be steamrolled because they think it will be a fair fight, but they’re the only actual player on their team.

Enlisted needs to label their bots as bots, wait for lobbies to fill up instead of filling them with bots, stop adding new theatres which further splits the playerbase, and add some sort of matchmaking framework.

it’s not specifically axis bots, it’s both pathing and hook points, if that’s the right term, that are so bad on the pacific.

I set up an MG nest in a spot where bot pathing decided they’re going to run through probably 200m of absolutely no cover into the objective.
Just bad map design in general there as well. No faction should be forced to attack the warehouse from the open end.
