I can’t quite justify in my mind the P38G being in BR2. Especially considering the P38E being BR3 despite being in EVERY WAY worse. Does anyone have any thoughts on this?
What does anyone think about putting the P38E in BR2 and making all the others BR3?
Eh, BR2 USA would be quite miserable I think, unless some more different planes were added.
P-38 is pretty good at beating clueless people, but if they catch you, you probably won’t win a fair fight. It also doesn’t have that great of CAS payload - it works in BR2 mainly because you can actually use the guns it has to disable/destroy enemy armour and use the bottle rockets to get few unlucky infantry… And your speed and engine power gives you a winning chance against things that are more maneuverable and turn happy (but usually slower with worse energy retention)
I don’t really think it would do all that well in BR3, especially in uptiers.
Honestly, I think something else SHOULD be added at BR2 for CAS. The ability to double spam rockets that are of dubious use against tanks but that own infantry and the skies is… kind of BS. I’m sure the US/UK has something else that would fit in the BR2 slot for CAS.
I must admit I don’t understand how blast waves are calculated, but even if their positions completely overlap, your chance of being hit by an RNG fragment will definitely be doubled.
Yes, it is definitely not as good as 500kg, but 250 pair is 250 pair, better than 250
I’m just going off my experience from being a plane spammer
Usually a single 250kg bomb will kill everyone it can reach anyway, 2nd one right at the same spot might give you like a random extra kill
It 99% of the time won’t kill a tank a single 250kg in same spot wouldn’t have killed anyway
You often get better results dropping 4x50kgs a little spread out (like from a D-5 Stuka) than a single 250 kg, unless you just luck into half the enemy team being blobbed up into one tiny area…that is also perfectly flat. Usually even little crater/depression is enough to eat and void most of that shrapnel anyway lol
I honestly would rather get 1x 250 for better flight performance lol.
Same reason you shouldn’t drop more than 1 set of rockets into the same spot - you’re basically getting everyone you can with the first hit anyway. The followup rarely gets more than 1 dude, if that even lol
Perhaps someone could do actual scientific testing, my experience says its just a complete waste of weight.
