Overheat is exagerated

I suggest to nerf the overheat on br 1 tanks like the pz II c, t60, tase, and m13 cuz their Shells are supposed to be used against infantery and i dont think that nefing the overheat allowing these tanks to shoot more Shells will be problematic cuz half of them are open top or they have a very thin armor so balancing or eliminating the overheat should be considered

I suggest to remove overheat completely and balance the game through reloads/“mag/belt”/capacity etc etc.

Nobody needs overheat for joke guns that already has artificially lowered dmg like tank MGs or autocannons.

Personally I wouldn’t remove overheat but rather make it less severe. I think overheating should kick in after like 2 mags + reload. Then it wouldn’t be annoying but still would prevent ppl from holding the trigger without thinking.

i find it kinda weird that hmg m2 are better than tank m2 ridiculous

The thing that gets me about the overheat is it kicks in after holding the trigger for like 3 seconds on any machinegun. With the heat dispersion technology that was developed after WW1 these guns should not overheat so fast even in the Africa campaign. Sure, they got hot but not after 3 seconds of firing them. I don’t agree with taking it out completely but toning it down would be a great answer. Maybe after you fire off a mag once and go for a reload it takes a bit longer due to the gun cooling down. This gives the sense of realism that you can’t put some explosive into a hot container, and it also lets us have fun letting some rounds loose at targets and not having the annoyance of having to nurse the trigger so we don’t overheat(50/50 on it working) on overheating with 1 round left(Damn thats pain Noktinnky_nokin, pure pain).

Just like how they treat weapons such as landmines and impact grenades that can kill anti-intellectual groups with high efficiency
The fact that anti-intellectual groups think these machine guns will kill anti-intellectual groups in a head-on charge is as much of a flaw in the imbalance as camping tanks to massacre anti-intellectual groups.
So with their constant crying the officials turned the tank’s machine gun into garbage

More realistic overheating mechanics would be nice. Roughly speaking: less heat per shot with a longer cool down period.

I would even welcome more advanced features, such as weapon malfunctions for hot weapons. Again, roughly speaking: overheated guns can still be shot, just with frequent jams and occasional cook-offs.

Then you could even get fun with it, like allowing machine gunners to dump canteens on overheated LMGs to rapidly cool them down. Or make out-of-battery detonations on autocannons possible that can damage/destroy your gun breech. (To reduce autocannon “spam”)
