Otsu-Gata Sensha (event tank for Japan)

Otsu

The Otsu-Gata Sensha is the Japanese modified version of the Renault tanks they purchased from France in the 1920s. Ten were purchased and they saw action battling Soviet forces in Manchuria in 1932.

Notable Modifications:

  • Swapping out the main armament from the Japanese 37mm Type 11 Sogekiho Infantry Gun.

  • Swapping to a 75hp Mitsubishi engine to improve top speed.

In honesty this tank would be pretty bad, if the tank is deemed too bad for BR1 maybe it could be part of a rider class rework.

Yeah, this tank has terrible gun, no secondary armament, mediocre armor, only 2 crew and slow speed.

I don’t think it will be that suitable consider the top speed of this tank is 20km/h.

Any tank is still a tank and thus a threat in the right time and right place, I wouldn’t add anything stronger than a 20mm auto cannon to rider class, that would just increase HE spam.

I just checked, it has a coaxial MG in the turret which already makes it better than Ha-Go.

Nope it don’t have coaxial MG. Its turret can only have a 37mm gun or a MG, not both.

You are right, I was fooled.

Yeah, I’ve always been a fan of a rider class rework but not like this. I don’t even want a tankette in the rider class, just light vehicles/trucks
