Optional Proximity chat

anyone whos played for over a month will know for a fact that teams dont communicate alot except for the occasional “Need enemy coordinates!” “Need rally point!” Or even the rare “Need ammo box!”
Ofc i know its crossed the devs mind and im sure there has been some reason for it not to be implemented
BUT PLEASE!
At least add it as an option for custom games!
Im no programmer but im sure it cant be as hard as re doing vehicle tracks
I do appreciate you listening to the community so much more than others and you do really make enlisted more fun than so many other games with a similar theme!

Proximity chat has been my most advocated feature to be added. Would be so useful, immersive, and most of all funny! I can kinda see why they havent tho but with an opt out option, I think it would be a good add :stuck_out_tongue:

While I would love such a feature, I cant help but feel it would stray from the type of game this is. Well thats for universal chat anyway.

I think I need to stress here, its worth taking the leap and be a bit daring here.

Voice comms with the enemy is one of my favourite things, from in arma, stealing a radio and jsut spreading misinformation, to any other gamer where you might pretend to throw grenades and so many other shenanigans. A personal favourite of mine is a tank kill in foxhole using only my voice, caused the enemy tank to panic and reverse into a river.

Now while this could be great fun, and certainly an amazing conditions, and I believe will improve the game. I think the idea needs to be cooked a bit more and refined, perhaps only implemented in stages. For example, at first only adding local team voice comms, then universal voice comms, then maybe a way to transmit a message to all squads using a radio op.

i get why not add it in the base game but it would be very nice for ppl to have it as an option just in custom games
And if the community likes it enough then it could be added to the base game

I completely agree with you! Communication in teams is definitely lacking, and having optional proximity chat would make a huge difference. It doesn’t have to be forced on everyone, but as an option in custom games, it would add a lot more depth and teamwork. It’s true that adding it seems simpler than some other features that have been implemented, and it could really enhance the experience for those who want more coordination.
