Lately, I get more and more matches that were already in progress and I really hate this the most especially with the first cap already capped in invasion or the enemy has all cap points in conquest resulting in very unfair matches where players couldn’t get to the very beginning because of the stupid matchmaking give them a late join especially when the beginning can decide the entire match.
Sure this will increase queue times but I’m willing on volunteer increase my queue time a bit so I can get a quality match start instead of attackers blitzkrieg the defenders too fast because the other defender players have yet to load in the match itself for whatever reason whether potato PC, not using SSD or a bad internet connection instead of getting annoyed or even worse, frustrated because I couldn’t get into position due to a late join and the match is basically over at that point already with that bad start. I’m suggesting this to be optional though so people can still have the option to join right away.

i somewhat agree to this and not.
i personally don’t mind it, but i hate to see it when i have to respawn yet but the first / second points are beeing taken.
just like war thunder, walks for a bit and get shot even without being able to reposition better my units, it’s no fun.
but the problem on the other hand is, people leave at the beginning of the match, or mid fight. which it’s not very convenient for the team. as such it’s best if someone can take the place and carry on the fighting while trying to turn the tides of the battle.
otherwise you fight with less people
it’s a double edge.

This buggs me too.
I suggested a timer at tge start of the match a while ago, even a mere 30-45 seconds where people would simply fill up the teams each side. As it is now it’s “go go go match starts even if you’re still loading the map.”

Well, sometimes I am in the mood, to fight an already started battle and sometimes I am not. I want to have the option. Actually I do have the option, I just quit the battle if I am not in the mood.
To have an option that you can tick on and of would help, because if people always leave after joining an already started battle, there is little sense to waste everyone’s time: the player joining, to find out the battle already started and the team has to wait even longer to see if maybe the next player feels like joining an already started battle.
Also if we could select what kind of map we want to play, attack, invasion or conquest, and/or even select the maps we want to play. there would be maybe less matches were players instantly leave the battle.
I remember very well, that I rage quitted the first two to three weeks after it went OBT, as at one day I was only getting D-Day. After playing four full battles I instantly left the battles when I found out that it was, again, D-Day like six to seven times in a row. So I closed the game and deinstalled it.
Now I am back

exactly. I wonder how many times we’ve asked for this. I’ve had matches where I’ve loaded in, the enemy team has been consoles, and we’ve been in the first point before they loaded in. People with hdd suffer in this game, and the spawns are poorly designed - on omer and airfield i’ve killed console tankers who spawn before they’ve even loaded in.

I now leave the game immediately if they start me in a game that’s been going on. I don’t care if my team is winning, I leave, so it just makes it worse! Why not allow people to opt-out of that and then only players that will stay are placed in to fill the vacancies? If they penalize me, I will just run straight for the enemy and die over and over and waste even more points.

I think that the opposite points of this petition are not good.
The best would be a middle ground, such as allowing you to choose and rewarding those who join a game that has already started with something extra (because with this they help balance the game by compensating the players who left)
