That’s one of the main reasons I do not play planes in Enlisted, although being an hardcore bomber and attack pilot in IL-2 Sturmovik.

i only want the auto reseting in horizontal positon to be gone not all

this to be clear

in dogfights it really bothers me, im trying to maintain the plane in a certain position but this fucking thing works against me

Set your plane controls to “joystick” in options menu.
Go to controls and set “joystick toggle” to a empty d-pad button. Now you can fly straight AND have manual control with the press of a button.

Can you fly with a joystick? Because if so that’s a game changer for me. I hate hate hate hate hate flying with mouse and keyboard

I fly with a xbox controller on joystick mode but I have yet to try a HOTAS setup.
The method above allows you to switch between the instructor mode (some guidance, NOT same as the mouse pointer mode.) and to switch back to full control; or essentially, sim mode on War thunder. (Advanced pilots only or you will stall and die)

You “can” fly with a joystick, meaning that technically you’re allowed to, but:

  1. Setting up controls config is a royal mess, almost everything will make conflict with the default pad layout, axis sensitivity setup is troublesome at best, and there’s apparently no way to get throttle axis working beyond having your throttle only working in the lower half and inverted (0% throttle = 110% power, 50% throttle = 0 power, anything above 50% throttle = no input). And you have to manually deactivate the autopilot every single time you spawn.

  2. Even if you manage to set up controls, a lot of planes will be either a pain to fly or straight out unusable, since flight models are EXTREMELY wobbly and therefore actually aiming your crosshair at sh*t becomes harder than balancing a pile of dishes on top of a stick while standing on a basket ball. In example, despite years of training in War Thunder, here I gave up playing Sturmoviks and Mustangs at all.

Hmmmmm. I do remember the throttle problem on Warthunder with my HOTAS controller, but i cant remember how to fix it right now. It was the same 50% problem too, but it IS fixable…some how. lol
